The past is usually the best indicator of the future. It's no secret on here that I have serious doubts that Darnold is going to recover from his.

It's also no secret I disagree with that.  😁

It's not like he was David Carr'd into oblivion.

He's far from "broken" like that guy was, imo.

We'll find out soon enough. I hope you're right.

Let's just say hey, Darnold, doesn't u Kno,

PJ is now starting, do you give him the same benefit of doubt, or you sticking to your guns, the season over.

What if we were 2-6, Darnold ain't it, and PJ gets us rolling to 8-6, are you still hoping he fails so we can draft a QB?

I mean did the Eagles cry about Foles...and Wentz is a far better player than Sam, so yeah Foles =PJ, Sam = Wentz for the argument only.

And be4 u say something like that would never happen..are u psychic???

I mean I at least got Rhule's post press right on Tuesday....so does that make me psychic, no, just make my own observations

As someone who is not certain if Darnold is going to be good, or get us a draft pick, there is still no doubt in my mind that PJ is solidly a backup.

And we're having this conversation because he had a mediocre game against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

I'm pretty sure most people get that.

And yeah... 😕

Lol what if pj magically becomes a god and turns opposing players to sheep would you still root for Darnold?!

^ only a bit less likely than PJ going on a 6 game win streak with a 2-6 team.  Not trying to trash PJ here but there is nobody that has watched our QBs that thinks PJ is even all that close to Sam.

Take a look at a couple of Foles' first seasons in Philly.  I wish PJ the best but these comparisons are mad.  Let's let him get to competent backup level before we decide he's going to be the next Brady, Warner, or Foles...

I'll hope for the best for the Panthers but I doubt that Darnold is the answer and I am virtually certain that PJ isn't the answer. I can hope in one hand and honestly call it like I see it in the other. I'm always happy to be wrong when it works out for the best for the Panthers.

I'm glad you in the stands, because the way Fitterer was smiling ear from ear about PJ...and to compare him to Russell....wow...Hurney is that you?

I'm not the one that has PJ competing with Will Grier for the #2 lol.

In the mind of Fitterer he already got that cover,...u a day late and dollar short...next stop...QB1

If you believe we will go 2-6 with Darnold and then go on a 6-0 run to get to 8-6 you are more than a dollar short. Most people here want Darnold to do well because that means we are winning games. Most people here know if Walker is our QB for 8-10 games this year we are looking for a new QB again.

I really dont see whatever it is that you see in PJ. I dont hate the guy,  but he is nothing more than a capable backup. I don't even think Sam is that good, but I see PJ as zero threat to take Sam's job this year.

We still have yet to see if Sam has any hidden talents or unreached potential. The dude didn't even have a qb coach at NYJ. Let's see what he can do with some actual coaching, a talented offensive coordinator and a loaded offense before we write him off.

PJ grinding his way up, undrafted to starting caliber, Darnold keeps getting praise and excuses from 1st round talent to bust...

PJ is like GME...Darnold's barely a penny stock.

    • I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
    • I'm not sure 19 is too high for Rodriguez anymore.  He looks to be moving up boards, but it could be smokescreens.
    • I see XL this way---great athlete.  Good person.  When we drafted him, we knew he was raw.  One year of WR in college (starting) and in HS, he was a QB, I believe. We knew we would need patience with him.  I think year 3 will be make or break.  He is older, and I think that people with his athletic ability have always been better than those with less---but those with less can become more successful.  Why is that?  in my view, it is mental. XL can learn the mechanics and nuances of playing WR if he becomes focused on it and works at it.  I had the opportunity to talk to Armanti Edwards one day after OTAs (great guy) and he discussed how overwhelming it was.  He seemed shocked.  At that time, I knew that Fox hated the pick (I heard him mock Armanti to another coach when he saw Edwards drop a punt from a jugs machine--then I saw Armanti look back at Fox as if to suggest that he was feeling the pressure to please the coach. We forget that these are kids in their early 20s.  At the time, Fox was a lame duck.  Remember when he had Clausen as the #3 QB and was forced to move him up the ladder?  I liked Fox, but I think the climate and culture was influenced by the politics.  Currently, I see another Wr from SC who is struggling, but he is ina  very nurturing, positive culture. Let's see what happens with XL.  I am frustrated too---but XL was a second round talent who was raw and we traded up to get him.  He had 500 yards as a rookie--lets call 2025 a sophomore slump and see if we can't get at least 50 yards per game out of him.  If not, cut bait.
