Yeah that’s correct, 8 active. Some people don’t know our roster very well apparently.

They are too busy complaining to actually take the time to count.

So 8 is pretty standard for NFL teams.

of the three backups you have:

Tecklenburg for backup center, which Brown can not do.

BC for backup OT, which Brown can not do.

So basically the staff is taking Daley over Brown, a 6th rounder in his second game?

...... this is our biggest coaching problem???

We aren't carrying 4 TE's for the offense, its special teams probably.  I'm pretty sure all 4 got ST snaps last week.

A lot of teams carry more TEs than just the ones you think about being part of the offense.

Daryll Johnson was our STs ace we picked up from the Bills, no?

Yeah lets activate 4 TEs that we won't use, and have our only 2 backup lineman a 3rd round rookie and a former 6th rounder with injury issues. All while our starters consist of 2 injury prone journeymen, a center who is just not good, and a guy who just came off the covid list. Good idea.

If you have 3 injuries to the same position group during a game you're fuged either way.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
