FA Josh Jones:

TheWolfpacker - Former NC State safety Josh Jones a top-50 NFL Draft prospect

Quote

What he does best:

  • Big combine put him on the radar – 6-foot-1, 220 lbs., 4.41 40, 37.5 inch vertical and 11-foot-0 vertical jump put him in elite company.
  • When in position, uses his length well to reach around and break up passes.
  • 25/46, 0 TDs, 3 INTs and 6 PDs played some CB early.
  • When he stays low and over his feet, and disciplined to his target, he displays the athletic and physical tools needed to make plays on the ball in the air.
  • Has the size and strength to compete with tight ends in man coverage.

Player Comparison: Mike Minter. Jones reminds me of a bigger version of Minter. Minter was a second-round pick who went on to have an excellent NFL career. He was a tough, physical presence who turned himself into a well-rounded defender. I think Jones could end up being similar in the NFL and also might be a second-round pick.

Looks like what you've got there is a safety who has trouble with acceleration and change of direction.  Just looking at the scores, I've never seen the guy play.  If he's a FA at this point, there's probably a reason.

You know who is even worse at those things?  Juston Burrisjuston-burris-ras-12732.png?resize=806%2C522&ssl=1

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
