Bucs 228 1747 2.3 9 11 13 14%

We have been on a steady decline since the Saints game, with each game worse than the previous.  The Philly game performance was horrible.

Yea we're getting our average players back so movin on up to the halfway there mark.

We had the 10th best pressure% in the league last year with mostly the same line.  Paradis, Miller and Moton retuned.  Elflein is on par with Reed, and Erving's stats are on par with Okung/Scott/Daley/Little at LT last year.

The pocket time is higher than last year.  Sam's time to throw average is longer at 2.9s compared to 2.57s for Teddy last year and it is getting longer each game.

What's the run block look like in terms of the stats? Improving there helps everywhere as well.

All this about the Saints game oline. That may as well have been months ago. Now teams have film they know our tendencies and our next upcoming opponents will not be without multiple players or coaches like the Saints were.

Ass.  Both last year and this year.  We are currently at 2.0 YBC/Att which is 26th in the league.   Last year we were 25th at 2.1

2021 NFL Advanced Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com

That is nearly identical to what Brady saw at the Saints in 2018 and Pat Meyer saw at the Chargers in 2019.  There was a complete drop off last year when they arrived in 2020.  In 2019, Panthers had the 3rd  best YBC/Att in the league at 3.1.  I think scheme is hurting us there.  Brady was a passing coordinator in LSU.  He doesn't know how to scheme an effective run game.

Got damn lol. Yea if we can get better run blocking it just helps out all over too. Some of our derpiest plays are on short yardage runs.

I think some of that is true about Brady but our OL personnel quality is also a big factor.

It would be interesting to take a look at the CMC vs. no-CMC stats in 2020-2021, as well.

Yeah its hard to tell where the problem lies.
The 2019 line was BAD.  We led the league in sacks with 58, but somehow was 3rd in YBC/Att.  CMC is some of it.  But we had CMC this year for the first few games and the YBC/Att was actually LESS than 2.  Believe it or not, it went up this week with Chubba.

    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
    • I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
