again, Cam’s days as the guy are done….

Conversation ain’t really about Cam.  But if Cam is better than what you got….that says something about your team.

LMAO he isn't better than Darnold or PJ.

If they were still here he wouldn't be better than Allen,Teddy or Taylor.

Yeah, there is absolutely no question Cam is better than Sam Darnold. That's just laughable to even suggest otherwise.

Even a broken down Cam is better than Darnold.

People speaking in absolutes with no verifiable proof as if they have access to god-level, omniscient insight...

No reason to get that worked up about a former qb who clearly isn't coming back on a Thursday afternoon. With that said. We obviously have not had any luck with the post #1 era options and we still have no real deep passing game to speak of which is kind of ironic but it has to change soon.

Cam had more wins last year than the Panthers or Sam.  And the NE roster was trash.    But yeah, let’s keep skipping over that type stuff.

Cam could literally run every down as a wildcat QB….and the outcome would be better than if you put some QBs on rosters in a game.   He is still a nightmare mismatch even if his shoulder can’t recover.

And again the argument isn’t about Cam being the guy anywhere.  He shouldn’t be.  There is nothing to built toward with him.   He just a body at this point and too big of a personality to make sense almost anywhere.  But clearly, better than a lot of guys collecting checks.  There is some The Golden Calf of Bristol to Cam now.  When The Golden Calf of Bristol left….there weren’t 64 better QBs in the NFL in terms of finding a win for your team.  There just wasn’t a point in going the The Golden Calf of Bristol route.   There was no future there and it was too much of a circus to bring him in short term in any role.

Come on Man. Cam Newton is horrible now.

I don't understand this unnatural crush some of you have for him.

Again, you either don’t understand the real point or are intentionally missing the point.

We have a roster full of guys worse than Cam present day.  That’s the problem.  It’s not an argument to sign Cam.   And someone having a stronger arm doesn’t make them a better QB.  See last season as further evidence.

Cam Newton is still the biggest rushing mismatch in NFL history.  Which is why he ultimately is still so much better than guys.

Lol he wasn't even a prolific runner in his prime.

He was nowhere near the escape artist/runner as Vick, Lamar Jackson or hell even Russell Wilson.

How many times did he really break off a 40 plus yard run to the house?

He was great running for 2 yards and getting a  lot of 1 yard tds tho. That's true.

I will put it this way, Sam Darnold's best season ever(currently watching it) would be Cam's worst full season in his career.

That's what I mean. Even broken down Cam is better than Darnold.

I am not sure if you are aware but Sam Darnold has been one of the worst QB's in the NFL for four seasons running now.

It ain't about Cam, it's about Sam.

Yes, Cam Newton is the greatest rushing threat in NFL history.

lol.  Going the he doesn’t run like Vick/Lamar route means nothing.  No, he doesn’t run like them.  He was much more problematic.  Every run was on the table like he was a featured HB….but with the numbers edge that a QB runner brings.

He is the greatest rushing threat because he didn’t have to run away from people.  That was the problem for defenses.  He was always at the advantage.  And there has been nothing like him and probably never will be.  Love him or hate him, he is a unicorn.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
