Logic hasn't always been the best here. Notice how I'm always the insert QB hugger guy now too. The fact that Heinicke is playing better than Darnald should raise some eyebrows around here but it doesn't. 🤷‍♂️

aren't they both on 3 game losing streaks and committing a bunch of turnovers?

Sam sucks. I'm not crying about it. This is exactly what I expected. You're sitting here honest to god trying to argue that Sam Darnold would be better than Dak Prescott all other things remaining equal. Get it together, man. That's 🤡 show poo.

Way to twist his words around. Maybe reread what he actually said.

I'll help. @Snake said the if you put Sam in Dallas, and Dak here. Sam probably plays better. Pretty simple concept.

put Sam in Dallas and he still cant' read a field though.  So it largely would just be the Dallas machine doing what it does.  They become super run heavy.  Sam just checking down.

Meanwhile, Dak would be down here doing what Dak does.   Dak can read the field.  Dak can get the ball out quick.  We saw last year that can work.  But unlike Teddy, Dak would then bring everything Teddy lacked.  He would be making all those plays downfield.

What team would have a better record? Don't know.  Which QB would be better? Dak.  And it's not hard.  Dak can play QB in the NFL.

So...once again you  take no responsibility  for misquoting, then insulting another Huddler.

Got it.

I said all things being equal. You know, like swapping roles. I don't need to insult anyone trying to argue that Darnold is better than Prescott. Hell, I can't possibly insult their football intelligence any worse than they already are.

You are just speculating. Reading the field? Throwing downfield? Sam can do those as well.

Agree to disagree.

We have visual evidence of his inability to see the field in the horrific interceptions he has thrown with time and other options.  When was the last time he completed a deep pass? Week one?

Well, one of the primary knock on Sam has always been his inablity to see the field.  There is lots and lots and lots of legit reporting on that from NFL coaches.

and did you watch this week with Chris Simms breaking it down for you.  Like literally walking you through how clueless Sam is when it comes to seeing the field and knowing where to go?  Explain that.   That can't be blamed on a OL.  That can't be blamed on playcalls.  The play says to go X because the defense does Y.  Sam doesn't look X.  It's QB 101.

Sam isn't a QB from the neck up.  Just the neck down.

There have been several detailed breakdowns posted to the Huddle this week demonstrating Sam's issues reading the field. He's got the arm to throw it all over the yard, but he's not processing even basic QB 101 stuff to know where to fire that cannon of arm of his.

When's the last time he had time to throw?

The real problem is; At the start of the year most thought 5-8 wins would be an improvement. Then the 3 game win streak, followed by 4 loses. Now folks are up in arms. That is the problem

    • Yep - honestly though, I thought his coverage was as good as you could possibly do on a man coverage crossing route with Dak having all day to throw. Dak made a perfect throw and if it wasn't in front of Pickens, it could have easily been picked off. Seemed like we ran more man than I have seen our defense run so far this year. Defense also did a great job of playing their gap/zone responsibilities (even if Dak did pick apart our zone a good chunk of the game) - that screen play on the last drive could easily have gone for a touchdown if Moehrig didn't play his zone and make a great tackle. Biggest complaint about Evero was not blitzing a few more times (especially when Dallas was in the red zone). The few times we did it, Dak didn't look comfortable.
    • There was some pretty egregious missed calls vs the Chiefs in the Lions game, especially Kelce. The completion where he clearly used the ground to catch the ball. The hold in front of the ref as Pacheco ran by where the defender was trying to turn around and couldnt because Kelce had him by the jersey. Mahomes openly taunting after scoring a TD. 0 penalties after double digit the week before. Cmon.
    • People get trade happy and look at resources as barter items. They fail to see them as resources to be used to our benefit rather than someone else's. Right now, Chuba and Rico are massive benefits to us and a strong rushing attack so greatly benefits any passer, much less a young one like Bryce still is.  And the better our running game, the more our offense can eat up the clock, the less time our defense is on the field. And that is priceless, too. Don't mess with the running game. Don't mess with the receivers. Maybe look at our O-line and think we may have hit on something good during these injuries. Look at our D-line and seem some strength evolving there. Our secondary has its good spots and some that are still developing. Our linebacking corps did well this last outing. Our special teams are on a major upswing as of this past week. Heck, even our QB is showing us a little something right now that we can build on. Perhaps putting out a yard sale sign right now might be less advantageous than looking at the team and saying, "You are all part of something good that is happening. We want to see that continue to grow."
