Jones has been okay in an extremely conservative offense. None of those options look like franchise-changer QBs right now.

Cam sucks. There is a strong, strong chance this will end badly. I hope I am wrong because I'd like to see him play well and the Panthers make the playoffs, but there's a reason his only real interest was from Carolina. It's a sentimental move to sell tickets more than a football move.

Sam Darnold also sucks. I'm not sure I take your point. This offense needs much more than a marginal QB improvement to move the football and win games.

I can see being disappointed in some of Rhule’s decisions, but I didn’t see being angry at Rhule for not drafting Mond

No it isn't. He had tepid interest from Seattle that didn't advance beyond them checking in with him. He did not visit, work out, or take a physical. What other options were out there?
