Are fans the only ones screaming for Rhule's head/firing?

Mr. Scott

Rhule is under contract for good money. Honestly you think he can coach and lead well enough, even if he tried for 2022 to not be poo?

I think the guy is giving it his best right now, and the resulting product is terrible.

So I shudder to think what it would look like if he weren't.

A point was made during the game about Brady's offense.  When a team finds a play that works they would run it several times during the game.  Brady would have a play that he would run that wouldn't produce a single yard but would run it over and over again.  Producing the same results.

Rhule will not step in and tell him not to call that play again.  I've said for months now Rhule and his staff don't know how to adjust. When Brady was at LSU they were a dominate team.  The game plan worked every week and adjustments weren't necessary.  In the NFL that won't work.

Last year we all saw some promise and believed 2021 would be better.  We drafted two offensive line men and instead of letting them grow in this offense they sat on the bench for players that weren't doing any better than a rookie.  If you are building a program with young players you have to let those players play.

Brown really pisses me off.  I am not sure why he wasn't on the field.  I know he was put on IR but IMO that was only to open a roster spot and had nothing to do with him being physically able to play.  Other than the weight issue, which iMO, should not have been a factor.

Play for one of these "good not great" QB's while you build your team.  When the opportunity comes to get "THE GUY", you get him and push for a championship.  Honestly, I could stand a few years of 10-7 back to back while we seach for "the guy" in a responsible way.

This is similar to my thinking. We missed on Stafford and got screwed on the Darnold deal. Any FA QB's may not want to come here. So we need to focus on OL and OL and then OL some more. At least until we can get a decent FA QB or draft and develop a young star from the college ranks.

    • Redeemed ourselves with a solid middle to end the night....
    • This is spot on, with the first 5 years of a QBs contract being so pivotal, as it should, unless you have Pat Mahomes or the reincarnation of Tom Brady, stats shows once the qb gets paid, the teams Super Bowl chances shrink significantly  what we did to get Bryce was idiotic to say the least, not because of the player(not a Bryce endorsement) but because there’s a long history of proof, making big swings at qb, are usually big misses  find the identify, build around that, and go from there. Unfortunately we don’t have one, and neither the defense nor offense side of the ball are more than good at best
    • Seems like a loaded EDGE class. though I think we don't spend a premium pick there with Scourton/Princely showing production and potential.  Concepcion at 19 is intriguing and seen ARSB comps with his shiftiness, high IQ and YAC ability. He and TMac would be a nasty 1-2 combo at stretching a defense. Brenan Thompson could be that day 2 speedy/slot guy that could boost his draft stock in Mobile.  Sam Hecht could be a later selection for C depending on how we are planning to attack that position in FA and our own previous guys. Shelton from PSU is an interesting developmental tackle that if he can get locked into an NFL strength program and rock up, could be good down the road. Speaking of PSU, Dani Dennis Sutton was a guy last year I was big on and was bummed he headed back to Happy Valley. I think he can be a helluva NFL player, and if he can show improvement in his pass rush moves, I wouldn't be mad at him in a trade-back situation.
