People are gonna attack Richardson for this, and he isn’t completely without fault as he has a history of being insensitive to race, but let’s not forget that he originally wanted Dungy (who turned him down for the Colts) and also signed off on drafting Cam first overall when people in the media were screaming that Gabbert was the better choice.

He doesnt get credit for cam

Actually, I'd say people changing their hearts has a lot more to do with progress in that area than changing laws.

And of course, you can't really legislate people's opinions and ideas. Even the legislation of actions goes only so far (this thing called the Constitution tends to get in the way).

Don't want to get into the weeds on this, however,

Sometimes waiting for people to have a change of heart and do the right thing takes generations.

Most people don't have generations to wait.

That's where legislation comes in handy.

I get that, but I'd point out two things.

One, rules and laws are limited by nature. They only serve to punish those who break them. In and of themselves, they don't change anyone's inner thoughts and ideas.

And two, laws and rules don't spontaneously generate from some ethereal place of moral ideas. They begin in the hearts and minds of people who see something that's wrong and want to do something to change it.

Basically, if you don't have people with right hearts first, you're not going to get the right laws.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
