What about AJ Feely?

It's obvious Jake is close to being gone (in my opinion as well as some others). Moore must have some problems (as some have stated). What I have not heard much of is how AJ Feely was coming along. Could he take over? Has anyone any information to pass on?

seems like he is doing a poor job...but I could be wrong. I know John fox loves him some jake and unless Peyton Manning was hear I doubt Jake Delhomme will ever get benched by John Fox.

nooooo....i was against brining in garcia because he has never done well in anything but a WCO. feeley has never done anything but suck in any system. he can't even handle the one he's used to. what makes anyone think he could be good in another one.

picking him up was only another sign at how badly this team is in regards to making QB decisions.

yeah....Moore most have some big problems. It was also a shame Godfrey was our best option at S........oh, wait....there was a better option and it wasn't even close. The fact people think that Fox committing to players means the other options stink or that there are none to even consider is just silly.

Reality is Moore and Feely probably aren't the answer in Carolina. That doesn't mean they shouldn't replace Jake with one of them and stop the bleeding.

Feely experiment in Miami failed.

doesn't matter...name a non rookie QB that has put together a 10 game start to a season as pathetic as Jake has this year. The fact he has a top ground game makes it even more pathetic.

anything is better than Jake at this point.....

I think that is the part to me that is most disappointing. Most QB's that suck do so b/c they are one dimensional offenses with no other options. In our case passing is an afterthought and he sucks at it. If our team had no rushing offense could you imagine how bad Jake would be? I mean seriously? The defense plays for the run and we still can't complete passes over 3 yards.

Jay Cutler.

nice try but no. Cutler's season has been sad but not as pathetic as Jake's.

Cutler has almost twice the TDs, a better QB rating, and completition percentage.......Cutler is a double edged sword. Jake use to be.......now all Jake doesn't is destroy Carolina.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
