WFT offered 3 1st's for Wilson so I totally believe it. They'll also have the leverage of Heinickie on a $3M deal next year for a bridge, who we could have kept and is better than Darnold. Heinickie and Kyle Allen both were at least more fun to watch and were basically free

Washington being interested? Valid.

It being "down to a two horse race" between us and them? No.

Depending on this court date on Friday I'm sure the Steelers, 9er's, Seahawks, etc are in the race. Seahawks roster isn't great but probably still preferable to our poo show for Watson, and now they have the capital to make the deal

The outcome of the Grand Jury hearing could be the difference between lots of interest and zero interest.

Seattle has the writing on the wall of going full reset. No need to burden their cap with Deshaun when they can be in the Stroud/Young driver seat. Especially with the Bobby Wagner release.

Unless Carroll wants one last hurrah...

At least they put themselves in the position of being flexible to go either direction. They can tank next year and hope they land a cheap QB and a couple other starters, or they can afford Watson and go crazy in 2023 FA after feeling out next year. They really aren't tied up in shitty contracts like us

I’ll say this too…the fact they let Bobby go shows it’s a self reflection “hey we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon so thank you for everything go choose your team”

Yeah so total reset and DK just stuck there with his pacifier lol, now with the 9th pick in a weird draft it seams like a strange time but maybe they wanna tank for a year

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
