Theinkisdry did say we’d be surprised by deal bc the offer isn’t what the Texans wanted. Word is the offer was three 1s a 3rd and a 5th no players involved. Theinkisdry said Texans wanted more all along and Tepper probably just offered picks like the browns did. Guy is a profit. He probably didn’t expect us to say no to the guaranteed contract and he also said it would be agreed upon on Friday. Haha unreal he sort of called it.

@rayzordude may have been right lol

Getting a franchise QB IS a rational decision. That's why Tepper has pushed hard for one the last few years. It's the most important thing in sports.

There is $230 million reasons (plus multiple 1sts) why there was nothing rational about it. And before anyone wants to bring up the Rams, that team was stacked with talent to where they reached the Super Bowl with Jared Goff. This franchise and the current roster is far from being one guy away and yet, we continue this delusion that we are despite guys like Stafford and Wilson flat out rejecting us.

This was legit the best possible outcome. We don't have to pay that massive contract and lose the draft capital and young players, and we don't have to deal with him in the division.

We also don't have to deal with the PR nightmare by the MeToo movement either.

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
