This is more comedy feel like Christensen could play LT since when we had so many chances to get him game experience. My only question when did they start to believe he could play LT did they do better film study after the season I’m just trying to understand when this feeling came about.

I would rather draft a LT at 6 and then flip Cmac for buff 1rst and pick Howell.

That would be my ideal scenario if we pick QB(any QB)but the problem is I don't see a reason for a team to want to move to #6. Maybe Seattle for Willis if he blows up in his pro day but that only gets us to 9.

Which is an incredibly stupid reason to draft any player.

But yeah, it won't surprise me 😕

Obviously it won't be there only reason. Pickett isn't a terrible prospect just not what we need at the moment especially at 6. If we were picking in the teens(as well as having multiple picks in the top 100) I would feel a bit differently depending but we are where we are.

Gives CMC a chance to win a championship and our OL would be solid around a young QB with potential.

Makes too much sense to work.

Howell, Strong (or whoever) wouldnt have to come in and immediately start, they could ride behind sam for 8ish games to get the feel of NFL

Fixes the OL for a while and gives the fans something to be excited about in a young local QB (if it's Howell).

    • BPA in the first round. If that is a DT, so be it.
    • I've argued before in this thread that the early season mediocrity isn't just Bryce. Very few NFL teams look great all season. Some start slow but get better. Others start strong but fade. The difference is offseason preparation and pacing throughout the aeason. Under Canales, the whole team comes out of the gate looking like sh-t, but they finish the season looking like winners. His in-season coaching and pacing seems to be solid. The offseason part...not so much 😕 That's why I want them to bring someone aboard who can coach Canales up on his offseason preparation. That includes helping Bryce get up to speed because what we're doing with him now obviously isn't cutting it.
    • I'm not so sure Rico even gets a big contract.  He hit the star in mario kart for 3 weeks but has settled a bit.  Still pretty impressive but I don't see any team paying a 28 y/o guy a hefty contract beyond 2 years. He's probably looking at max 2 years, 8-9 mil per with an out in the second year.  Probably in a BAL/HOU/KC type situation. The only major RB contracts are outliers (CMC/Saquan/Henry)..the top tier backs are in that $11-15 mil annual range.  The solid starter/head of committee guys are in that 4-10 mil range.   Hubbard is around 8 mil per but we clearly want him around.  So you're right, don't see paying both to take up 16 mil combined next season so he'll probably be elsewhere while we have Etienne/Brooks coming in (and maybe another rookie)
