You can also replace them in the 5th round or with undrafted guys

That’s true of any position though, to varying degrees. If it were that easy for centers every team would do that and no center would ever get paid more than close to league minimum. Even as a backup rotational interior lineman who also plays guard that’s a cheap deal. Wonder if he just really wanted to play in Carolina for some reason

Donte's cap hit is only $6M and this is probably $2m so we still have like $24M in cap space which is pretty impressive.
