I think they REALLY like Garrett Wilson

We'd be a pretty ideal trade target to get ahead of ATL, NYJ, SEA, & WAS, all potential WR suitors.  And we're probably pretty tight connection wise after ongoing Watson discussions for the past 1.5 years.

We land 13, 37, 80 and a future 3rd (or something like that)

Yup, hopefully the Texans and Eagles both want the same WR at our pick and get in a little bidding war.

There've been so many hints that teams really like both Jameson and Wilson.  But not a lot of press which tells me they're really 2 of the most coveted players that teams want to trade up for.

I imagine we have preliminary talks in place with at least a few teams who are targeting them with a trade up so the call and negotiation can be swift.

But brace yourself for a mid-round 1 Pickett selection if this is the case.

Could see something happen on day 2 after the top QB's are gone.

Mary Kay Cabot is an excellent source. She says we're one of them.

Aaron Wilson is also an excellent source, and he says we're not.

Draft season, ladies and gentlemen... 😕

...where you believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
