Is this the best line Cam has never seen in Carolina.

I'd say so. Icky is rookie Jordan Gross and Cam hasn't quite been Cam since Jordan got booted and then Kalil.

A line he will make look mediocre because he cannot push the pull down the field and cannot hit simple swing passes with any accuracy.  Teams will load up the line and rush the crap out of him on long yardage and everyone will once again complain about how bad the offensive line is like they did years ago.  I don't really care if we bring him back, but expecting anything exceptional this season from the quarterback position is laughable with Sam, PJ or Cam.  We are building the line knowing that we will have a high draft pick next season and can have much higher potential to land a difference making quarterback.  They are going to have to make some type of QB move with just Sam and PJ on the roster so I would not be surprised to see Cam come back.

Yeah, I'm on the Carson Strong/ Cole Kelley for QB this season.

Sam,PJ, and Cam have had all their share of opportunities.

The average NFL career is what, 4years so yeah.

As much love as I have for Cam Newton, even though he often puts his foot in his mouth when talking about women (that's generous, I'd love to see someone slap the poo out of him for what he said recently); I'm good if he moves on as a backup to a contender as he chases a ring.  I love the energy, the fun, and the celebrations Cam brings, but I there's that old saying "you can't go home."  Things change, and so have the Panthers.

I wish him nothing but the best, and a little humbling.  The Panthers need to find a new QB.  Thanks for all the love and memories Cam, but we both need to move on from this relationship.

    • 1. This is a really tough hand. Comes down to what Ickey's agent pushes for. If they insist on that big contract he would've likely earned before injury... we cut our losses now.  2. His production doesn't really warrant a huge contract. If he does get one, it's likely one we could afford. 3. Unless we get Jerry to bite again, I doubt anyone would want to trade anything for XL. His future is dependent on him getting better and/or future late-round/UDFA guys taking his spot. 4. I'm very much into drafting OL's every single draft. Ideally, a new LT/C but any Big Ugly with starter potential is welcome, especially if it helps us replace someone a lot more expensive. 5. Lean towards using draft picks.  6. Can't put all our eggs in the Brooks basket. Personally, if we get another back with a late round draft pick or as a UDFA, I'd like someone with a good set of hands.
    • Joseph Vincent Flacco. Find anyone who knows how to play LB. Rozeboom led the universe in missed tackles.  Find anyone who knows how to play TE. The entire position blows donkey dicks. Get a kicker who is reliable past 50 yards.  This is the new NFL, kicking 50-60 yarders is expected. Try not to look like monkeys fuging a football during the draft.  That puts us in a spot to compete for the division with Atlanta.
    • Bryce's contract has zero influence on Coker, period. If you think otherwise than you are just revealing your ignorance on how all of this works behind the scenes; QB contracts are basically a different tier that can also be utilized to reallocate resources when needed via restructures (see Brees and Saints.) The ERFA status simply gives the team a "declare your interest in keeping this player" due date, that is all. The numbers are irrelevant for any long-term plans, they are just a placeholder until both sides agree to a new contract if so desired.
