Injuries have nothing to do with being a rookie.

Sam got injured trying to play hero with his legs instead of his arm.

The real question is.   Are most of you going to have the patience with a Rookie QB.  It's not very often that a rookie comes in and takes over the league.   I believe Corral will beat out Sam for the starting spot.  I do believe he'll struggle as he learns NFL defenses.  

If he does struggle 95% of you are going to be screaming trade up in 2023 for a new QB.  We have to be patient.  

I enjoyed watching the elite 11 series that he was on.  It clearly was focused on Lawrence and Fields.  Corral made his case and had some really nice throws as a high schooler.  I think the RPO offense he was a part of did not take advantage of his arm.   I think he can make every throw we need him to make.   I hope he learns our offense and balls out.

Maybe he'll win Rookie of the year.

If he's not OverRhuled he can get in the running. I think he has a real chance of getting that OROY if they give him the keys.

If they're going to hold the starting job over his head and make him jump for it...

Play the man. Sam is a backup. A high priced one but a backup none the less.

I think making him compete for the starting job is better than handing it to him without him earning it. 
 

TBH he wont have to be very good to beat him.
