Does Rhule really think he has 5 years?

Taking a Defense that couldn't get off the field. To one of the better Defenses in the league.

Taking a team bereft of talent. And turning into one of the best rosters we have seen in a while.

We were 21st in points allowed last year.

All the best players on this team currently are all the ones that existed in 2019 before Matt Rhule arrived.  CMC, DJ Moore, Brian Burns, Moton, Jackson, Shaq.

Everyone else is just a draft pick that remains a question mark.  Can't even put Chinn on the list now since this staff seems determined to misuse and play him now.  Once it looked like we might have hit on someone special they quickly went about ending that.  He did bring in some stud one year rentals but they are gone now.  And they never made sense if you were actually building this thing from the foundation up.

Eeehhh, could be worse.

I could be the kinda guy who just stops by occasionally antagonizing people with dumbass arguments just to be an a--hole.

Now that would be pathetic.

You sure do throw a lot of insults around nowadays. Maybe all this negativity has gotten to you?

I don't spend my days wishing for Sam Darnold to be good.  Or Matt Rhule.  We already know the answers to such.

Matt Corral? Yeah, I hope he is good.

True.   You spend them hoping Joe Brady will, and then posting exactly that here.  Its anyone's guess why.  This is the second thread I walked into where you were arguing with someone over the promise of Joe fncking Brady.

You think Brady is the only OC whose prior job was as a college coach?

Eeehhh, no. It's actually not unusual for college coaches who get pro head coaching jobs to bring their staff with them. Mind you, college coaches don't get pro jobs as often as they used to (our own Matt Rhule is pretty good evidence as to why).

As far as right now, the closest you'd find to that would be Steelers OC Matt Canada who spent just one year as their QB coach before ascending to OC. All his experience prior to that was at the college level.

Buy while we're at it, you might want to check your premise here. Are you absolutely certain that college coaching is the only thing Joe Brady had done before getting the Panthers job?

(might wanna check his bio) 😆

Wow. After all that time, you couldn't even name the only OC.  Did my question go over your head?

You can spin it any way you wish. Which is what you do best. Deflect, then throw a bunch of crap, while trying to sound like Yoda.

It still remains that our Defense was much improved. And with out having Horn to boot.

There is turnover on every roster. Don't make it an our roster only thing. You must quit speaking in absolutes.

Your hatred is strong. See what I did there?

Joe Brady is only relevant at this point in terms of how it relates to what a cartoon job Matt Rhule has done.    It's not my fault you are fixated on Joe Brady as a stand alone topic and refuse to see how this is a Matt Rhule discussion.  You don't want it to be.  So you choose to act like this is really about just Joe Brady lol.

I'm done with this thread.  In summary, RR did not start in a "similar" position to Rhule and Joe Brady has not shown to be "super talented."

Rhule has made a bunch of mistakes.  Firing Brady corrected one. I hope he does better this year.  I like what he's done so far in the offseason.

No spin.

It is simply factual that we were 21st in points allowed in 2021.

It is simply factual that all the best players currently on the roster existed before Matt Rhule signed his name on a contract.  CMC.  DJ Moore.  Moton.  Burns.  Jackson.  Shaq.

* you said one of the better defesnes in the league.  Now in this post you change the languge to "improved".  Technically, they got worse in points allowed in 2021.   They went from 18th to 21st.

Teddy didn't work, Rhule brought in Sam. Sam didn't work, he brought in Corral. Seems like he is trying to find his QB

Offense struggled last year. Rhule brought in well respected seasoned coaches. Drafted a stud LT, and maybe our QB of the future. Seems like he is trying to get better on O.

On a D that was rated well, but struggled. He brought in Vet Coaches to assist in the growth. Seems like he is trying to get better.

Brought in a respected ST Coach. Seems like an improvement.

Seems like we have a coach who is not afraid of trying to improve. But I'm not all gloom and doom. So maybe it's just me?

You don't even comprehend what's being argued.

Yikes 😬

1. It is also factual that our D was rated top 5. So you just nit pick what stats you like.

2. Not even sure what that second one even means. Every team endures roster turnover. Every team hopes their youngsters step up. This is not just a Panther problem.

3. So you nit pick my wording to say the same thing you did in paragraph one? Cool. lol

I see a brighter tomorrow. You see doom and gloom.

You are starting to be redundant. You nitpick stats, and words, and your use of absolutes is infuriating. You repeat yourself ad nauseam. And quite frankly. I am tired of your negativity. So bye bye birdy

    • I know it was posted in another thread but it is buried at this point and figured it was good to see how he’s doing. Also, checkout these videos and tell me you are not excited to see this kid run behind our massive O line.. ARTICLE: Panthers 2nd-round pick Jonathon Brooks expects to be healthy for training camp. Even coming off an ACL tear, Jonathon Brooks was still the first running back taken in the 2024 NFL draft. And soon enough, that injury may not be a factor.   After a little movement in the second round, the Carolina Panthers settled in on the 46th overall slot used it to select Brooks. When speaking to reporters for the first time since the card was turned in, the 20-year-old rusher confirmed the belief that he should be ready to go by the start of training camp. “Honestly, as far as rehab goes, it’s good,” Brooks said. “I’m out there, I’m running, I’m about to start cutting. So I’m progressing well. I’m right on track on where I need to be. For me to get back to camp, it’s also just a blessing. I feel like this injury’s a blessing from God just being that it gives me a chance to focus on a lot of other things. As bad as it is, it’s the best-case scenario. I just only tore my ACL and it was a complete tear. It’s great, I can’t wait to get back out there and just can’t wait to keep playing football.” Brooks played some spectacular football before the tear—having rushed for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns over just 11 games. His efforts, while cut short, still earned him a second-team All-Big 12 selection for the 2023 season. The Panthers, who are sticking around in Charlotte this summer, will begin training camp in late July. -pantherswire.usatoday.com
    • How do you figure he will redshirt for a year? All indications are he will be ready for training camp.
    • Trading Thielen, huh? I could go for that. I'd trade him for a fourth (which turns into Malik Washington or Javon Baker) in a heartbeat.
