MC9's skill set is greater than Baker's.

You literally didn't read my post. It's PAINFULLY obvious by your response.

That's the problem. You aren't reading anything anyone is saying in this thread, you are just lashing out emotionally and repeating the same few lines over and over.

I have no idea what got you into this headspace on the Corral subject but it's fuging weird.

Delaying the future for no reason. Not giving him the props for what he achieved in the toughest college conference as a top QB in the SEC with a stellar completion percentage and ability to lift a not so great squad when he hit the door.

Respect this young man. Put some sugar on that contract and stop stinking up the place with guys who's head have been up their ass for years, allegedly.

Put some sugar on that contract so my boy can show you what a true first rounder can do.

Love Corral, but we took him in the 3rd so how is he a true first rounder?  Also why would we add to a rookie contract?  They are pretty much set on a scale...

But seriously I was and am thrilled we drafted him.  If he turns out to be our next franchise QB then that will be awesome!

Dude has referred to me as "foolish", "insane", "weird"... What's next? I'm just having a little fun, but I really do believe that Corral is our guy for the reasons I have explained, and I do believe that at the end of the day (not necessarily this year) he will be better than Baker if given the opportunity.

He smells just like Sam to me. They said the same things about him.

What about this team or Baker makes this a better situation than the Browns?

Nothing.

You clearly don't have a clue I agree. So I will let it go since you never do no matter how uninformed you may be. But I have followed Mayfield given my daughter lives in Cleveland and while she is a Panther fan, her husband's family are long suffering Browns fans and I am very familiar with his successes and failures. So honestly very little of what you say is true or the feelings of Browns fan. Most of them are pretty unhappy they got rid of Mayfield.

He got pumped and dumped. If you know it you can see it.

Dirty trick. Pickett got the pedestal. What can you say? Influential haters?! Last laugh will belong to Matt Corral. If the Panthers don't piss him off and fumble that bag.

Lol. Come come now. We suck right now but we're not historically the Browns.

WTF does a Browns fan know about good football? Or what elite looks like up close?

That historically bad franchise was taken to the playoffs and delivered their first payoff win in forever the year before last by???

Baker Mayfield Sport GIF by Cleveland Browns

Just be happy we went from Sam Darnold and PJ Walker to Baker Mayfield and Matt Corral.  It's a much better QB room now with some nice potential!

It was the TEAM they assembled. Not Mayfield.

Exhibit A: traded for a dignity sandwich

Using that logic then panther fans who have never had back to back winning seasons don't know much either. But that is stupid logic. Because I am fan of a struggling team doesn't mean I personally dont know what good football looks like. Do you even read what you type once you sober up. You should be embarrassed enough to stop instead of keep doubling down with even more stupidity.

No. Panthers have been to the Superbowl 2 times in 2003, 2015, had a 15-1 season, NFC Championships. Come come now.

Stop it.

    • Poster board? Were you trying to use the term poster child?
    • I mean, you're acting like we don't see the tippy-toe bunny hops, jump throws more than normal (with both feet dangling in the air every which a way), and off-platform but off-balance throws that arrive short or sail high. Could that be bad mechanics due to being short? Could a seeming propensity to bail the pocket towards the sidelines early as opposed to sitting in the pocket tall and strong, surveying his reads, be an attempt at trying to see an open throwing lane? I'm not saying that what you're saying isn't a contributing factor to what has been an underwhelming display of executing the QB position, but this is year three, and if the lightbulb hasn't switched on by now---if you haven't figured out that guys are faster, stronger and generally more athletic, then what's it going to take? It's hard to forget that "mental processing" was supposed to be Bryce Young's superpower. Are you telling me that he can't nail down such an easy concept as, "I can't get away with the things I did in college at the pro level," is that right? If he can't get past that, then that surely limits his ability to successfully execute all the other stuff.  Look, I'm not trying to be flippant. I acknowledge that playing pro football is more complex than a lot of fans realize, but all we can do, as fans, is observe. One of my favorite things to do is just look at the greater picture and think what part human nature is playing in the many decisions that are being made or have to be made. You're absolutely correct that fans don't know exactly what's going on, but that is by design, and in many ways it's just the nature of the beast. Some things we can't know. That being said, the professionals screw the hell up all the time. The professionals disagree all the time. These disagreements can be within the same franchise or from franchise to franchise. And sometimes these decisions are all over the place, so excuse me if I ain't exactly buying the I-know-more-than-thee sentiment and that that means that professionals always make better decisions than fans would about certain players. Some of this stuff is simply luck or a crapshoot.
