It’s been less than two months since we traded for Mayfield…..

Yeah, it's beaten me down pretty bad. Hanging on by a thread here. Wouldn't be jumping to another team or anything. Would just lose interest and find something better to do that won't constantly frustrate me. It's just not much fun anymore. I'm hoping Baker changes that for me.

I've become a casual fan from all the disappointing seasons. Not to mention Teppers blunders and the Watson fiasco that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I will always be a Panthers fan but I'm currently not proud of that fact. I'm just waiting to see some semblance of life or fight or something from this team to be proud of again.

.... only the tea and crumpet crowd are thinking playoffs... the reality is way different...

Actually lots of fans tired of losing are thinking differently this year. It is the we are afraid we will suck again crowd that are too traumatized to go out on a limb for the team and root wholeheartedly for fear they will be disappointed yet again.

And if he plays well and with our current roster construction... would you be willing to pay him 40 + million dollars?

Yep. As long as it isn't all guaranteed, the cap next year won't be that much as his signing bonus will be his salary for the most part and will be prorated over the life of the contract.

He demanded 45 plus from the Browns you guys give Fitt too much credit he can barley build the roster now no way he can with that tag at QB with the draft picks he's been making? That would put us back to 2020

The cap can be manipulated a dozen different ways. But no you don't tag a player because then it is due right then. By doing a long term contract you can backload which is what most everyone does these days.
