It’s quite reasonable to hold the opinion that Fields was put into a bad situation that has seriously hindered his chances for success. But anyone saying he’s been impressive, throwing out the term “franchise QB”, declaring that we made a huge mistake passing him over, etc. are just not operating in reality. Objectively speaking, he has been at the bottom of nearly every QB metric. He seems to be trending in the right direction though. He’ll for sure be an exciting player if he can put it all together.

Id rather, right now, have a year two project in Justin Fields than any other QB we have trotted out on the field the last 3 years.

A young QB showing progress vs a shutdown corner who doesn’t play. It’s still a toss up. Nobody is right, yet. But he’s shown improvement from year 1 to year 2. They just need to Josh Allen him and now go get guys to help him.

    • Just like WR, you thin ignite and then suffer an injury and you are scrambling.  Any RB could have run through some of those those holes though and maybe you don’t get the same xtra yards but you are getting yardage.  It is the pass catching they will miss the most.
    • Without Sanders, they are stil catching balls. Sanders is about a giveaway to it will be a pass play.   Also, hoping we see the competition at RB keep both guys on their toes.
    • I was talking about pre season hype vs now.  They were talking about him being the best route runner on the team and being unguardable.  Putting people in the blender.  He has had 1 catch the last two games, and before that it was 2 per game. I like Renfrow, but it seems him and Bryce are not on the same page.
