Yours clearly are… I imagine you poo in the bathtub because you mistake it for the toilet.

Shoot me your email, I’ll buy you a Warby Parker gift card.

I watched every snap today on Stroud for the sole purpose of this board, and there was no other good game on.  Huge numbers, solid arm on deep balls, and one throw that I thought was a pro throw (the 20 yard in route to Harrison).  Then there was a bunch of misreading of coverages (man v zone) and terrible clock management on his part.  Even his lone TD pass was a) set up by a short field and b) a 8 yard route that the TE turned into a 20+ yard TD by breaking three tackles to score.  Nothing Stroud did.

There was nothing I saw from him that would make me want to spend a top 10 draft pick on him.  He's a great college QB, but so was every NFL QB, our next pick at QB has to be a no doubter, and unfortunately that player doesn't exist in college football right now.  So build for when that guy does come along in either the draft or free agency.

I'm happy to "suck" for the next 2-3 years if it means we have 15-20 years of success with the right guy when he comes along.  Stroud isnt that guy.

Sounds like Baker Mayfield coming out of college and going #1 to the Browns. He is a typical overrated Ohio St QB who gets carried by coaches, OL, receivers, running game, and defense. He struggles under pressure and when he is in a situation where he has to carry the team he gets frustrated and struggles to show he can produce game winning drives.

He is not a playoff/championship QB for the NFL level. He will be a game manager for a bad team who needs a QB who can win close games at the end of the 4th quarter - they will wish they never drafted Stroud.

The top college QBs are not groomed to be successful in the NFL. The better QBs coming out of college for the NFL game are the ones that perform well on a bad team and can consistently carry their team to wins. If they are a QB for an undefeated top program, they are not tested enough to even consider making them an NFL franchise QB.

I'm not saying he's bad QB, I just don't see anything that makes me feel he's going to make the transition to the NFL easily.

26 of 33 which is 78.8% completions for 354 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT against a top 25 team on a day where his running backs made one play the whole game. And this, to you, is a game where he struggled. Maybe he’s under much more of a microscope than other prospects to you.

I can’t see any other top tier prospect where folks would say their guy struggled with 350 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs on roughly 80% completions against a top 25 team.

    • Both SB HCs were offensive guys. All of the other NFCS teams have deffensive guys and I would bet none of them will be seeing a SB with their teams. It's just the way it is for now and it doesn't look close to changing.
    • Remember Freddie played barely any of the season. Less than 20% of the overall goalie starts.
