Nah, it's cool.  It's just the physical attributes people are drooling more so than the production is questionable to me.   I'm not insinuating Levis is a head case or anything.  Remember, crazy Ryan didn't fully come out until in the League and he couldn't handle the pressure of losing.  It's more of the hard projection off the tangible rather gauging the intangibles.  Again, just a gut feeling.

I do not see this either, because Leaf was competing with Peyton Manning to be the #1 overall selection, and opinions were divided.   Levis does not carry that kind of pedigree, but 45 usually makes good points, so I will reserve judgement until he responds.

Then I will blast him!!

Honest me:

I laughed at the stupidity of the KC GM when the Chiefs traded up to take Mahomes at #10.

I did not think Josh Allen would be a good professional.

I thought Leaf was equal to Manning during their draft.

I thought Lamar Jackson was a wasted pick.

I thought Justin Herbert was the next Oregon QB to go Joey Harrington.

I thought drafting Cam was necessary, but I did not like it.

I have been right a few times, but this demonstrates an honest reaction to my ability to predict what a QB can do.  I thought I would post this because there are people on this site who claim to know about drafting QBs.  They are always "iffy" at best.  That makes it fun, but draft the wrong QB in round 1, and you will give that QB at least 2 years to develop, setting back your turnaround by 2-3 seasons.  Do we have the GM to pull this off now?  I dunno.

With the NIL money I think we're going to see more and more mid-round type players opting to play another year of college ball. Big time college QBs are gonna be getting PAID. Hell, TAMU's starting OL is reportedly splitting a seven figure NIL deal. That's tough to walk away from unless you're talking about being drafted high enough to secure your future.

Levis will be a top 10 pick especially as more underclassmen QBs are staying in school, potentially top 5.  Mark it down.  Outside of a respectable completion percentage, what jumps off the page?

Nothing.  He has near ideal size (could be a little taller) and a quick release.  That's why people are infatuated with him.  Every NFL staff 'thinks' they can mold a young QB as long as the physical qualities check the box.  I'm saying, that's not always the case.  Leaf had all the physical attributes you'd want in a franchise QB, but his college stat line showed otherwise.

That is interesting, but (and I know you know this) I hate to compare 2 players with similar features as anything definitive, but that is all we have to go on.  So I took a look at Leaf and there is some suggestion that he had a solid RB (1000 yards) and some WRs with ridiculous averages per catch, suggesting that they had high run after catch numbers (Suggesting that the signs may have been there all along).  His completion percentages were low.  His top 4 WRs in 1997 (2 played in the NFL), caught 164 of 227 (including RBs) passes.  They had the following ypc averages:  54 catches with an 18.6 ypc average; 55 catches with a 16.6 average, 33 catches with a 18.1 average, and 22 catches with a 25.9 ypc average.

Those are ridiculous per catch averages. I realize that Leaf was a downfield passer, but 52% and 55.4% completion rates for a top draft pick?  I did not understand the risk until now.

I may have veered from your point, but you usually make me think.  TY

I think Levi will be a top 5 pick as well.

This is against VANDEBILT and Kentucky was at home!  I get the kid has been banged up and his OL is trash, but DUDE, WTF????

NINE of his 19 passing TDs came against Miami--OHIO, Youngstown State and Northern Illinois.

that's crazy PFF has him going #1 to Houston.

To Houston. Please God! Cause that gets young in the picture for us. And yes he's tiny but I would take that risk. If you can get him to hold up for 5-7 years with a better than average roster around him, he can pull you into the playoffs. If it's a top 5 crew maybe pull you all the way to the SB. dude gets it.

The top 2 should be young/stroud, then Richardson/Levis/McKee (No). After that it's merky.

Penix wasn't a round 1, had questions on round 2. But here @ the huddle he was top 15....

    • Despite their differences, QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 also have plenty of overlap. Here’s a look at how these two QuickBooks accounting software options stack up. Essential core functions There are two versions of QuickBooks Desktop (Premier Plus and Enterprise) and four versions of QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced).  All versions of QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 offer similar essential functions, including the following: Import and organize transactions from bank and credit card accounts (PayPal and Square integration on Online only) Invoice creation Estimate and quote creation Accept payment from an embedded invoice link (through QuickBooks Business Network on Online only) See the status of invoices in real time Categorize business expenses for tax purposes Create reports (more reports on Desktop Enterprise and most Online versions) Capture receipts via OCR with expense category matching Charge and track sales tax (sync with Amazon, eBay and Shopify on Online only via third party apps or via add-on for Desktop Enterprise) 1099 contractor management  Inventory management (more inventory features for Desktop Enterprise and Excel imports/marketplace syncs via third-party add for Online editions) Time tracking (sync with QuickBooks Time Elite via add-on for desktop versions) Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 are especially well regarded for the following capabilities: Tax compliance Cash flow and expense tracking Business budgeting Ability to accept online payments General reporting features Multiple tiers Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 Online offer multiple service tiers that cater to different business needs, such as the number of employees who need to access the software. We’ll go into more detail on this later. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: The differences Here are some of the key differences between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Features The main areas of difference between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online lie in the accounting software features offered. The online version has several useful components that QuickBooks Desktop doesn’t. Here are some of the features exclusive to QuickBooks Online: Attach documents, images, signatures and more to individual transactions from both mobile and desktop devices Audit logging for tracking actions and changes over time Automatic nightly synchronization of bank transactions Auto-add banking rules Customize banking rules based on dollar value, percentage, class and location Journal entries with multiple accounts receivable and accounts payable (AR/AP) lines Turn management reports into presentations Scheduling and sending of future transactions with delayed credits and charges Support for multiple budgets during a fiscal year Transaction scheduling and dispatch automation Unlimited time tracking and reports-only users Conversely, many classic QuickBooks Desktop tools can’t be found in the online version. These Desktop-only tools fit neatly into five categories. Accounting: Ability to back up, restore and condense data and company files Correct unapplied credits and payments QuickBooks Statement Writer (add-on package for GAAP compliance) Client data reviewing Ability to post to extra AR/AP accounts Undeposited fund management Correction of sales taxes Create accounts for a specific time period Reporting: Industry-specific reporting options Header and footer customization on reports Support for multiple vendor ship-to addresses Business planners, balance sheets and forecasting by class Data entry: Batch invoices, transactions and timesheets Rate-level billing Automated Clearing House payments to vendors Inventory: Ability to build manufacturing features and assemblies Inventory reordering Partial receipt against purchase orders Value inventory using the average cost Management of sales orders and invoice tracking, unit measures and availability to promise Job costing: Ability to charge orders and change/markup estimate columns Payroll and labor cost calculation Reports for job costing estimates and actual amounts If you’re a QuickBooks Online user who wants these Desktop features, many third-party apps offer them for an extra charge.  Hosting QuickBooks Desktop is hosted locally, while QuickBooks Online is hosted in the cloud.  This means that QuickBooks Desktop users are limited to one hosting provider — the computer on which the software is installed — or a handful of licensed computers. QuickBooks Online can be accessed from any internet-connected device, including a mobile device with the QuickBooks app installed, after you enter a valid username and password. Because QuickBooks Online is cloud-based, it is a great option for those who need QuickBooks access while not in the office. QuickBooks Desktop is often limited to the number of installations included in your chosen service tier, so you may not be able to access the service if you can’t access the specific device with the software installed. One-time vs. monthly purchases Before the launch of QuickBooks Desktop 2022, the QuickBook products were available as a one-time purchase. Now, Premier Plus and Enterprise packages are available on a subscription-basis only. QuickBooks Online, on the other hand, is a monthly subscription. How much you’ll pay for each service depends on the service tier you buy. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: Service tiers and pricing You can choose from two QuickBooks Desktop tiers and five QuickBooks Online tiers.  QuickBooks Desktop service tiers and pricing QuickBooks Desktop will be discontinued on May 31, 2023. After that date, you won’t be able to access QuickBooks add-on services like Online Banking, Online Backup, Live Support and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services from any version of the desktop software.
