The only game this happened in for San Fran was yesterdays game which was due to both QBs going down with injury. You look at the 12-13 games before that and CMC was elevating everyone around him.

If you want confirmation, look at Kittle’s numbers before AND after the CMC trade and get back with me

They would have lost regardless of the qb.

you might could make the case the Eagles are the most overrated team to ever reach the Super Bowl.

Easiest schedule in the NFL? check.

Bad Giants team in round one? check

NFCCG? Opposing QB hurt on opening drive. Opponent didn't have QB to attempt a forward pass for the 2nd half.

Why didn't they have a qb?  They couldn't stop the pass rush.  I'm sure they would like some of those picks back to address that situation.

We were still strongly one dimensional being a run first team with showed in at least 3 games to close out the season when Hubbard and Foreman decided to take a nap.

Disagree all you want but he would have likely helped lead the 49ers to a SB with a 7th round QB had the entire QB roster not fallen apart. Because they  knew how to utilize him.

Disagree with my disagreement all you want, but I think the 49ers were a championship caliber team before he showed up, and I don't think he made a world of difference for them, just like he didn't make a world of difference for us.

They were 3-3 and won 12 consecutive games after he signed. Purely coincidental though….championship caliber teams are generally 500.

If anyone actually thought the Niners were going to wipe the floor with the Eagles and the Chiefs with Brock Purdy that's your own fault for believing in fairy tales. The Eagles were the more balanced team. Anyone with eyes could see that running their entire offense through McCaffrey was not built to last or enough to win it all against more well rounded teams.

The Eagles strength of schedule was harder than the 49er's by far from what I'm looking at. On the other hand the 49er's look to have the easiest schedule according to strength of schedule.

Edit: Just glancing at Tankathon's listed strength of schedule.

Nothing to do with a change at quarterback, the most important position in the league though, right?

Well you have folks saying they lost the championship game because they didn’t have a stellar QB and you’re saying they went on a 12 win streak because of the change at QB. So which one is it?

There QB got knocked out on the first drive of the game.   And it essentially killed their chances.

They had a QB.  One that had been playing great.

in the NFCCG it turned into a game that featured a great defense and run game.  And you can't win with it.

I personally didn't say anything about them losing the championship because of their QB play.  They lost the championship because they went up against the Eagles, who have been by far the best team in the league all season.  They were outclassed at every nearly every position on the field.

I get that, but having your starting and backup QB get knocked out of a championship level game doesn’t necessarily equate to a player like CMC being invaluable because he can’t win the game for them in that moment. That’s a bit of a stretch.
