I wouldn't bet on that.

It's possible we're one of the teams that spoke to them to gauge the price, but I don't believe we'd give that up.

Again

Fitterer’s job is on the line this season. He is going all in like I’ve been saying for weeks now

Burrow tore his ACL is rookie year so and they finished with a high pick selected Chase.  I would argue that we have a better roster than Burrow's rookie year Bengals.  It's because we are trading up to acquire the top pick while the Bengals "earned" the top pick that year.  Mac Jones was 10-7 in 21 for the Pats and not many rookies started in 2022.  The Dolphins won 10 Tua's rookie year, but I think he only played in 10 of those games.

agree, I think this team is better than what rookie joe had, but joe is light years above whats available this year.

mac jones had goat bill and I think the pats lead the year with 17.8(??) points allowed that year. best in the league, by far.

i can not keep up with tua and the games he played, started, and finished. I believe that season was mainly the last magic form fitz.......

just lots to ask and the unknown factor is hurtin my last two brain cells......

I doubt it his rookie year, but he could have us competitive and if he is the answer to our QB problems who cares about the picks we lost?

In order for the value part to work, playoffs is almost a must.

If hes thee "guy", no one including me would care what happens in 2023.

holy lee fug dj has 35 million dead cap?? am i right?!?!

So that means the dead cap total is 54 million and they included future 1st and got weaker with DJ leaving.

no like.....bad touch...

I don't think that can be right

If it is it's not likely all in one year

Didnt they sign him last year? This is getting vastly over-looked, i believe it adds 35 million more to the dead cap.

Another lane it may only add 20 million, which puts red numbers on the table.

But HORAY.....1st overall pick, right?!?!?

This needs to be confirmed.

    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
    • Only 26 years old, fills the biggest hole on our roster. Top 3 at his respective position, yeah fug it how often does a future HOF player become available in their prime?
