Nobody is right all the time, and he hasn’t been proven wrong yet, Corral hasn’t had a chance to prove whether he’s better than the other trash that was taken last year. Could argue he is the best of that class just by not playing and proving that he can’t lol

Yea, Simms has a pretty decent track record and you're right that they all will miss on some. Corral's performance before his injury didn't exactly inspire confidence though.

Certainly did not lol. I was just coming back to mention Simms has made some good calls in the past heh. I think last year was just one of the worst QB years ever. Like the Josh Freeman and EJ Manuel years 🤮

Another interesting nugget, Chris Simms says Stroud is the #1 and it’s not even close. Says Lawrence vs Wilson, Burrow vs Herbert, Mayfield vs Josh Allen were closer than Stroud vs Young.

I fully agree with Chris Simms.

I love hyperbole. Burrow and Herbert, sure. Allen and Mayfield, definitely because Allen had accuracy issues and Mayfield was selected before him. No one had Allen #1.

Lawrence and Wilson is ridiculous. Young’s career and potential compared to Wilson isn’t even close IMHO. I’d think Lawrence would likely be close (still 1st) to Stroud but Young as a prospect >>>>> than Wilson coming out of BYU.

I hope we pick Stroud and I hope Simms is right but you don’t like to see something like this which looks more like a make some news and get some hits post.

I was joking obviously, and I was on the Howell bandwagon last year, but he hasn’t shown anything yet. We’ll see. In seriousness I’d say he’s looked like the smartest kid on that short bus draft class for now.

Heh yea that definitely caught my attention too. I’d agree with you on all your points, I think Simms was just caught up in the moment lol. I like Stroud maybe 10% more than Lawrence, but Young is more like 75% more than Wilson

    • So what are "the people" paying for when they give money to a rich dude for a sports ball situation?  The brand and prestige of a sports ball team.  It's the hallmark of a big city to be able to do that.  There is a pretty terrible ROI on public dollars into private enterprise, period.  But governments continue to do it for the image associated with it. Since I live outside of CharMeck, it doesn't affect me much.  I love my Panthers.  They have been part of my life since they announced the team in the early 90s.  My parent's names are on one of those Panther statues.  Some of my best memories with my family and friends come from that stadium.  But on the flip side, could CMS use the $650 million?  What about public housing?  Streets?  Parks & Rec?  There are a lot of other places that $650 million could go. But in our modern society, I bet that after much hemming and hawing, the money will come.  Areas of the budget will suffer.  Some taxes will increase, but that's how things work in our society.  Charlotte is not willing to lose the Panthers.
