Tepper's Role as a Tiebreaker

I highly doubt that there would be ties where Tepper became involved because the draft is a group decision between the GM, owner, president, and coach.

Which is fine…Each person does play a role in the decision, the GM and coach in every sport should be in close communications, so the GM can understand the coach’s and team’s needs, while the coach can understand who is available ,so that they can make moves to get them and the salary cap status and available budget, etc.

On a good team like the Panthers, as  owner, Tepper doesn’t need a say outside of the fact that it’s his money.

I feel he a good enough owner to have delegated all of these responsibilities to a professional GM.

In the end, I think the Panther's are like most teams where the GM and coach work together with the scouting department (which is typically run by the GM) to select players that are a combination of the best available and niche filling for the team.

I think the Panthers social/marketing team have done a terrific job in filming and sharing draft day activities in recent years

Looking forward to what they do this year without the rumored handcuffs they may have been placed under in recent times

    • No one called CareBear tonight?!? I'm flabbergasted, simply hornswoggled, downright befuddled!?!
    • The right answer is neither and drafting Maye with the #1 Pick of the 2024 Draft lmfao we traded away the #1 in a QB LOADED DRAFT
    • I have no idea why you are so irrationally upset about the notion that going out and spending $150 million free agency dollars on two interior offensive linemen could be construed as a panic response after our #1 pick we traded a fortune for had one of the worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years. It is objectively what transpired. Dan Morgan as of right now is a mixed bag. Some really good some so so some not so good some bad some really bad. You take any rational criticism personally like you are related to him or something. That's something you'll have to figure out for yourself. Anyways. The predicament Dan Morgan finds himself in for this year will define his future as GM. I sincerely hope he navigates it to perfection. But the circumstances are largely of his own creation. And not just in his stint as GM but going back to his time as assistant GM. Which conveniently people like yourself don't like to talk about. That is the reality of the situation. I like how you will carry water for Dan Morgan to the point of getting into random spats with people but make no mention of Bryce Young's glaring limitations and shortcomings as a starting QB yet go out of your way to put the onus of our struggles squarely on Canales. I mean I've been quite critical of Canales too but he sure isn't the only one to blame for our problems.
