my opinion:

Young is superior to Stroud in the things that are hard to measure and quantify.. what matter the most for a QB.   Processing, awareness, ad lib play making, and calmness in big moments.

Stroud is accurate but everything has been served to him on a silver platter.  Young keeps plays alive and gets the ball downfield when poo dont go right.

I dont think many people are debating that, however we are wondering if Youngs body can hold up for a 17+game season for 5+ years.

I bet Stroud will take more hits in the NFL. Young has that 6th sense in the pocket and have the quickness and agility to go with it. Not saying Stround isn't good in the pocket, but Young avoids a lot of hits because of his size and agility that a bigger QBs might not be able to dodge

Yeah, it's clearly a smoke screen at this point to tempt the Texans to trade for the pick.

Literally no reason to release this news if you're the Panthers. Kunkel is just acting as a mouthpiece.

The Texans really want Bryce Young. Since I like C.J. Stroud, it would be a win for me if they swapped picks with the Panthers to obtain Young at #1 , leaving the Panthers to  select Stroud at #2  plus an added draft  selection or two.

i think he can with a good OL and his ability to evade sacks and play smart football

even if hes a smidge shorter and lighter, Brees did it. I don't think a couple inches and pounds will make a drastic difference. His size may be a advantage to avoiding hits

Bryce Young has evaded tons of potential sacks due to his picket awareness and agility

I've also seen him tackled by pass rushers who just had to use a single arm to bring him down.

This isn't the case of a small RB being an advantage 'cos he can hide behind his Olinemen.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
