Oh no.Paul Thomas Anderson Water GIF

I wouldn’t worry, probably a good sign that Scoot and Miller are meeting again with the Hornets this week with MJ present.  Appears they will pick one of them almost certainly.

If we pick Miller, watch Zion go to Portland and never get hurt again and Scoot become another Westbrook.

I suppose whatever happens…Scoot, Miller, or trading for Zion the team will have to be better. It just has to lol. Being a Hornets fan my head says they will 100% botch this. Being small market with dollar general owners this is a big time decision.

My mind is completely  shot on it all too lol. Like if they do trade for Zion... he has to have gave MJ his word that he wants to play here and will be in shape and committed. Nobody is going to question  a healthy Zion but nobody has seen a fully one either. With both Scoot and Miller back in Today, they are really having a battle on what to do. I even seen not long ago the Raptors trying to dangle Pascal to get Scoot. We shall see.

Hornets want Ingram over Zion, and last I heard was NO wasn't interested in moving Ingram.

Yeah I saw that on Friday but no telling what negotiations  transpired since. Originally  Pels said they weren't trading either and today they said Zion will be traded by Thursday. So stuff is fluid and if they trade Zion... rather to us or anyone, no telling  what they plan to do. Negotiations always start with a resistance.

Shams just reported on the topic again and  it remains that Ingram is the preferred guy. I think that the Pels are refusing to say they have offered anybody in case it blows up but clearly some dialog  has been made.  Also today the Raptors have showed more interest on moving up to get Scoot with Van Fleet being a free agent. Most assume Pascal on the block since Barnes has the same skillet.

MJ really about to trade for Zion...

This is swirling around a bunch of ways but no telling!! Only thing I will say is if  him and Mj had a talk and he is 100 pct committed to the hornets... him n Melo would be box office with Miles and Mark

If it's zion and not Ingram, gotta get the 14th plus two or three other firsts back. That's how much zion trade value has fallen.

Hayward and the 2nd for the 14th, 2025, 2026, and 2027 first rounders and Zion

Yeah with rumors that the owner wants to rid of him since the newest issues,  14 would have to be added. I would take 14 and 27 and move back up. Imagine if Miller dropped a few and they still got him with a player n pick trade.

    • No, the casual fan gets sucked into THIS^^^ kind of thinking, and it's so woefully incorrect that it's almost sad. The first is what I've said numerous times, NOTHING about non guaranteed contracts save the billionaire owners a single penny, because they still have to spend their cap floor, and the only reason teams ever don't spend the full limit, is to then roll it over into the next season to be able to spend more that year. But in the end, owners pay the same amount of money no matter what. The reverse is also the same, that the players in totality make the same amount of money as well, because in your example of Clowney not getting that money this year, it will go to another player, as the cap needs to be spent. And you say how we just cut Clowney after we gave him the 2 year contract, but everyone including Clowney's agent and himself, knew when it was signed, that it was more likely to be a 1 year contract than a 2 with how it was structured.  The 2nd year was just to be able to spread out the cap hit and he was always most likely going to end up getting traded or cut. It's why agents and players don't care about the total money in a contract, it's always and only been about the guaranteed money, as the years and overall value are meaningless, always have been, always will be.
    • Agents will have their 1st round picks hold out until the pay structure of their contract is to their liking, not how much money they'll get or even how much is guaranteed, just the when/how they will get the money over the course of the contract. If they're willing to recommend those players hold our, do you really think they won't do it for 2nd rounders to guarantee them an extra 10% of their entire rookie contract?
