Eh… not a big fan of this move.

tend to agree, a good pickup but at a $7.5 mil AAV if that keeps us from picking up a high dollar scoring forward we won’t see a cup next season (and maybe the following season).

Doesn’t matter if the other team can’t score.

I know, but please let me enjoy this signing. It is the one I wanted most. Huge upgrade, even if it is to replace Pesce.

Yep! You would think based on the comments, this group should all be NHL GMs vs posting on a message board.

Orlov is replacing Pesce. It’s coming. Relax and have a beer folks. We about to get leveled up.

Hopefully not Pesce since Orlov is a LHD. Skjei should be on the move but Pesce could be headed out as well if we get Karlsson.

You are annoying AF. Stick with posting your opinion instead of analyzing others. You act as if going to games gives you this supreme knowledge when it doesnt. Your takes are terrible and you are too reactionary. We have all seen what has happened to this team continuously in the playoffs and what areas should be addressed.

No one is saying Orlov isn’t a good pickup. It’s just concern that $7.5 mil AAV might keep from addressing Canes weakest spot- a top scoring forward.

Maybe it won’t stop getting a scorer if Pesce goes, but until we pick up that forward who can score then don’t expect some of us to celebrate.

We’re all just expressing our opinions here and we don’t have to agree. And I’m pretty calm lol.

Give it time. A goal scorer is heading our way 😉

    • This won't be a trap game for them. I worry more for the next time we face Atlanta. That's a death trap game if we aren't careful.
    • Luckily, we've got more games ahead to watch and see what happens. Maybe he keeps growing his game, maybe we see that he's topped out when we hit stiffer competition. Or maybe he flames out against a team he should well be able to beat like the Jets this weekend. I really can't tell where all of this will end. I can say, though, there's no reason to hit the kid at the moment. Let him roll for as long as he can.  Heck, Sam Darnold is setting the league on fire right now, along with Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones. Examples of guys mired in bad coaching on bad teams (sometimes our own) that hit their stride just as a team did. Maybe we're about to get lucky.  I do know one thing. The biggest change in a winning Bryce and a losing Bryce is that when he plays fearlessly, he is a hell of a competitor. When he gets scared, and he has so many times, it all just falls apart for him and no team can save him. Bravery makes the difference and it comes from believing in not just himself, but his line, his receivers, his running back and the play calling. Just like most young QBs. And quite a few of the old ones. Rodgers couldn't make it in the chaos of the Jets situation. He can in Pittsburgh, so it seems.
    • That’s what I thought too. Maybe I interpreted it wrong. I was considering maybe taking a last minute trip but I think I’ll pass
