9.75 is not bad at all. If the cap actually goes up by 4 million next year like it’s suppose to well still have 2.7 million to work on other deals.

Yep and we will have to pay Chatfield if we want to keep him. He is slowly becoming my favorite defenseman, next to Burns.

Tremendous news and glad we got it done so soon. Was hoping for 9.5 but 9.75 is still gonna be a steal as the cap goes up. Good value right now and he could easily get 11-12 on the open market if he hit it. Glad he'll likely be a career Hurricane
