Sometimes I think we're too spoiled.

After watching Pittsburgh lose yet another game, it kinda got me thinking. There's so many teams struggling right now that were elite teams last year. The defending super bowl champions have lost 5 straight games and will most likely miss the playoffs this year. The once dynasty Patriots are a mediocre 7-5 team that will be one and done in the playoffs. The Titans, who only lost 3 games last year have the exact same record as us at 5-7. The Giants have struggled mightely and have shown no signs of their super bowl team a couple of years ago.

And the funny thing is besides the Titans, all of these teams have top tier, if not elite QB's. We probably have the worst QB play in the league (The Raiders with Gradkowski have shown more) and still we constantly complain about everything. I know the goal of every team going into a season is to win a championship, but given the circumstances, we should be pleased of what the Panthers have done thus far.

I agree. You see the powerhousees fall away and yet here we are still kind of in it...it all about the wins and if we can put together 4 straight, who knows? All I know is as long as Moore is in we have a chance. But this weekend will tell the tale of the 2009 Panthers.

Go Panthers!

I just don't see the reasons for all the faith in Moore at this point. The man has thrown 143 passes that we have seen in his career. He completed 83 for a career completion percentage of 58. 3 TDs and 7 Ints in his career for a final career rating of 64.8.

That's what we (fans) have seen him do. I don't think that you can know that "as long as Moore is in we have a chance".

The thing that frustrates me is that we're beating ourselves in these games with the poor QB play. I can understand us not going 12-4 again given our schedule this year, but how can you win anything when the QB is throwing multiple interceptions per game and generally playing poorly. If we had nothing more than an effective game manager at QB, I think we'd have a winning record right now.

Has anyone noticed how many QBs are struggling this year? More than just Jake I mean?

And New England could be vulnerable. The operative word is "could."

It's like trying to give George Foreman a wedgie. The champ days were a long time ago, but do you really, really feel lucky?

why do we keep going through this? Jake Delhomme is horrible. We have 0 choice, but to have faith in Matt Moore. Matt Moore is average. Jake is below average. End of story.

Seeing the Steelers didn't make me think we're spoiled, seeing the Browns, at 1-11 coming into the game, having exactly one offensive player who's even watchable(Cribbs), having had two good seasons and never having won a playoff game, on a 20 degree night with howling, bitterly cold winds, play in front of an absolutely packed stadium that was loud as hell all night long - that made me think we're spoiled.

Little dissappointing to see people jump to the INT stat for Moore. At least two of his career INTs IIRC came from hail marys on the last play of the game because Jake didn't have the arm strength to put it in the endzone from wherever we were on the field.

That was VT not Jake.

I don't know if you would call the fan base spoiled but I could see your point. All fan bases act the way ours is when a season goes down like ours has. I am sure you could log on to a Steelers MB and some fans would be screaming for Tomlins head, fans of the Pats are probably starting to question if Bill has lost it. When things do not go as planned then everybody blames the coach. Usually because he is the HMFIC and it is the easiest position on the team to replace. Also there is the belief of every fan base that the coach should have seen ________ coming.
