Belichick and Brady take Jabs at Gamble

Child please

Lets talk how yall barely beat that same team that hasn't won many games AT HOME. And how the ref's just gave you your first points. Other than that, you only scored once. And Gamble got another pick, on that same Moss off that Brady. How many picks Brady thrown over the past what 4-5 games again?

Accusing the opposition of quitting when you WIN a game is one thing. Accusing the oppostion of quitting when you LOSE the game is embarrasing.

Actually, I think any time is the right time to do it considering how Moss played yesterday. It's not like they were making up stuff; everyone is just annoyed because they are saying it when they lost the game anyway and that doesn't make it false.

That's what to expect from a 9 on the Wonderlic.

Why does everyone care about that as long as they play the game well?

For such a ugly game where nether team seemed like it wanted to win it sure gets alot of coverage. The only reason the Reporters asked about Moss is because they saw Gamble and Harris shut him down. A better story would be how they got away with all those no calls and got so many favor calls.

I've seen uglier games, but the calls were absolutely horrible and I rarely, if ever, complain about the refs.

I will say that most analysts misunderstood Gamble's quote, he wasn't saying he shut Randy Moss down, he was saying that when you make things tough on Randy he shuts it down.

The media never gets it right. I wonder what they all got on the wonderlic?

Got to loooooove the homers trashing Belichick for standing behind his player. Good grief. Had Beason been in the same position, and commented about a team we just beat having "lost again", you all would eat it up with a spoon.

It was a very clever response by Belichick, attempting to ward off the drama hovering around his star WR.

This is a grown-up game played by grown-ups. If Gamble and Harris want to speak their mind after a loss, so be it. But don't get butt hurt when Belichick disses you.

Agree Completely. Gamble and Harris got sooo much to say about Randy Moss, but there was a lil' guy named Wes Welker who shredded our secondary. Ima Panthers fan but I'm sorry Coach Belichick is right, there is a whole lot of convo about Randy Moss when were gonna be at home for the playoffs.

Yasinskas on this

If they said that Moss was taking plays off, that’s what they actually saw. Harris and Gamble are not the type of guys who would just go out and rip an opponent for no reason. They were asked specifically about what they saw from Moss and they answered the questions.

once again, he answered a question. no harm, no foul. and second, why are people so surprised. Its not news. and Gamble isn't the first person to say it. Who cares. Moss is going to the HOF. but he takes plays off. has for years. big deal

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
