Panthers need to draft the Biletnikoff winner don’t care who it is.

Maybe in the future when we have picks. We really have to stop this perpetual win now roster building. Do a proper rebuild finally. Getting tired of absolutely wasted years of limited salary cap and losing draft picks.

Teams are going to play the safeties up until you beat them deep a few times in a game. Teams with a good pass rush are not going to give you enough time. You better be able to have something else up your sleeve on offense to compensate in the meantime.  That was an easy score for the eagles. Hurts only had to throw it about 40 yards just high enough to clear the safety play up too close.  Easy pitch and catch. The corner screwed up by giving the receiver a free release.

Still early but hope we didn't screw up not taking Dell or another speedster over Mingo who kinda fees like in the same ballpark as 3 of our other WR's in game style

Last year's Biletnikoff winner was a 3rd round pick. We'll have to see how he turns out. We didn't really get to see him in weeks one since the Giants just flat out didn't show up against the Cowboys.

I don't think we are hurting to bad in the speed department.  What we seem the be struggling with is route running and communication. The young guys just have not had enough reps in this offense yet. The vets haven't quit got their with Bryce either.

Fitt probably figuring out how we can get rid of that too.

He also lasted til the 3rd because he literally only had to run go routes at Tennessee, who knows how anyone in that system can adjust to the NFL. Gotta watch their high school tape and workouts/whatever else teams can get their hands on

Yeah, it definitely makes for a tricky evaluation.

Meanwhile, we sure could use someone to run a go route. 😂

    • since I agree with him I will jump in and say we don’t use the TE enough to value one as a 1st. One of these threads just today people are posting pointing out that Bryce can’t see the middle of the field which is where a lot of TE eat. He likes to throw picks there too, I wonder why (can’t see). It just doesn’t help us that much.  And personally, just my opinion, Bryce has had enough top level investment dedicated to the pass game. Get a speedy WR later? I am fine with it and think that is all we really need anyway. Another 1st round pick? Hell no if I get to say. Which I don’t but no one else does either    As far as a TE, a pass catching RB would be of more use than a TE I think. We visited with one I think maybe Sr Bowl, that was a WR in school u til just this year when they switched him to RB full time. A guy like that could be put to a lot of use on these little 5 yard passes Bryce is so fond of throwing,  It is just past time to put some real talent into the defense for once and I want our top picks to focus there, personally. I would say unless we have a situation like last year where the difference in pure value is stark, I am pissed if we pass on a quality defensive player for another pass catcher.
