Sorry, but its time to give John Fox some credit

I hate him for not starting Moore earlier, but he, the entire coaching staff, and team deserve some praise for the last 2 games. How actually thought we would comepletely dismantle both the Vikings and the Giants in back to back weeks. This is a different team with Moore at the helm, even though it wasn't Fox's call (he had no choice) , he kept this team motivated and ready to play.

Nothing, NOTHING medicore about a 41 to 9 drubbing of the playoff-hungry Giants or an amazing win against the Vikings last Sunday night.

Credit where credit is due, if only he had known what he had in Moore earlier... like maybe if Moore had started three games as a starter in a previous year and done better...

I'll always give him hell for it, but at least Moore is making the most of it. 7 TDs, 1 INT as a starter, and most importantly, 3-1. Amazing plays all around, making it work with his legs and his arm. This kid is for real.

He deserves no credit. The playcalling is not winning us games, the players are winning us games. There were still tons of questionable calls that the players willed to work and there is still the fact that Moore, the best QB on our roster, was riding the bench for the important part of the season because of mediocre play in meaningless preseason games.

The offense in particular looks good because Matt Moore looks good. He's opening up the running game because he can do something Jake could not, which is establish his arm in the first drive of the game and make the opposition defend the pass. Our offensive line is great. Our runningbacks are great. The only problem with our offense was that nobody respected our passing game for the first 11 games of the season.

With as much natural talent as we have on that side of the ball, anybody on the board could call a decent game when Stewart is gashing for 6 yards a carry. Run - Run - Pass - Run - Pass - Run - TD ..... is that really hard when you have players that execute?

The play calling IS winning us games - the entire reason Moore was so successful against the Vikes pass rush was playcalling. The designed rollouts, screens... they were all excellent. Yes, Moore is executing and not making mistakes, that's important, and Stewart is carrying the load, but you gotta give credit to these coaches.

Hate it or love, in the NFL, when the players show up ready to win, the HC gets and deserves credit. When they don't, they get scrutinized. thats the way it works. all the guessing, saying who did what, is guessing. Thats just the way it is

I love the win today. Why? Because it motivates all our players who wanted to quit at the end of this season. Who knows, ,maybe even Peppers will stay on if Moore is the QB next year. (Not saying Peppers is the the only player on this team that matters.) I think they were all ready to quit before the Moore started. My hat is off to every single player today, they were above awesome. And, they got to talk about us on the NFL Channel now because we shut down the Giants in their last game in that stadium. Wow wow wow wow....I am smitten with my Panther's tonight....I love you all. Hope my Smitty is ok!

Jesus H, some of you guys really cannot stop your b*tching. We obliterate the Gianst in their home, we crush the Vikings a week earlier, and all you can talk about is how Fox might stay in Carolina now?

I cannot for the life of me understand why you all swarm to the boards after a 41-9 victory and start pounding away on your keyboards with every thing you can think of to throw against Fox. No back to back winning seasons, he didn't win the game the players did, Kalil is speaking the company line, he would start Jake if he could, he put players on IR to help his case, b*tch b*tch b*tch b*tch b*tch b*tch b*tch. You guys try to explain away everything that happens and turn it against Fox.

STFU. Honestly. Let Richardson make the decision in the offseason. No amount of your incessant b*tching on the message boards will change his mind. Fox will stay or go, for better or for worse, but for now enjoy the win and for the love of god, STOP F*CKING B*TCHING.

    • or you could call him Bomanicious   I'm going with King Tet
    • T-Mac put up good numbers for 3 consecutive seasons on teams without a good QB situation, and in an environment where T-Mac got game planned against weekly and still performed. Teams threw all kinds of defensive coverages against T-Mac, and he still found ways week in and week out to contribute at a high level. XL was basically a 1-year wonder. Doesn't mean he cant be great (and I think him & T-Mac will compliment each other well), but i think T-Mac is the more polished of the 2 right now. This certainly isn't a perfect comparison, but I hope XL & T-Mac can approximate what we had with Smitty & Moose (Although i think T-Macs ceiling is higher than Moose and XLs ceiling is lower than Smitty). Both those guys were multiple Pro Bowlers and even All-Pro. T-Mac & XL have a long way to go to actually being comparable, but the potential is there. And regardless of how this season turns out, you can actually see a strategic plan being executed. On paper, I think this offensive roster has as much talent as any Panthers team since 2017. Defense is still a question mark, and it's unrealistic to think we will go from being historically bad to great in 1 year, but based on historical and statistical data, we stand a much better chance of turning the defense around in 1 year than the offense. I still want us to potentially add at S, CB, and ILB, but this roster is exponentially better than the roster heading into the 2023 season. Which still begs the question of how & why the team thought they were in a good position to trade all the way up. Regardless, it's in the past, and while the past 2 years have mostly sucked, we are strategically in a much better position than we have been in years. This is easily the best WR group since 2020 IMO (Moore, Anderson, Samuel). I'm super excited about what T-Mac can bring to this offense and team, and I'm really hoping we continue to build off where we ended last year offensively, and hopefully we've made enough improvements on defense to be competitive. I've also been vocal for the most part in supporting BY9. He came into an awful situation and to a team that was in no position to make such a trade.   Still, this is Year 3. And this is a team that IMHO has both the talent & depth on offense to score and score a lot. Most QBs that ever amount to anything are competing by Year 3. There are no excuses for the offense not to perform. I think BY9 knows full well what's riding on this year in terms of his long term future.  And I think T-Mac is a massive piece in helping Bryce and the team get over the hump and back into playoff contention.
