He is absolutely a future member of the hall of fame....

of the Breaux Bridge, Louisiana Chamber of Commerce

This is Heeelarious!!! Jake in the Hall of Fame? More like the Hall of Shame... Once again I dont know what football games you guys watch of the Panthers, but its def. not the same ones I watch. We are talking about a guy who went to a subpar Div. I school. That doesnt mean much cause a lot of guys did and had great careers. He was UNDRAFTED out of college, again which doesnt mean much... but his HOMESTATE of Louisanna didnt even want him (cut by the Saints in '97 & '98 & '99) when they were in the terrible Ditka era. He kept being swapped back and forth to NFL Europe, which used him as a gimmick in a 2 QB option set. He finally became a fulltime bench warmer (3rd QB) behind Aaron Brooks and Jeff Blake who both got booed of the NFL radar!

He finally got a home in Charlotte, only because he was cheap and we wasted a pick in Chris Weinke and had God awful Rodney Peete as a back up. After going 1-15 the previous season, and about to loose another game, Fox yanked Peete and gave him a shot.

Everyone forgets sometimes winning QB's are the ones you dont have film of. No one knew what to expect of him or his weaknesses. We also had this guy named Steve Smith, who plays a chip on his shoulder and blazing speed for the deep ball. Also this guy named Steven Davis who got 4 yards everytime he touched the ball, which left Jerk Delhomme in 3rd and short situations the whole '03 season.

In his BEST two seasons('03-'04), he was still under 60% in completions!!! From then on he has had 2 thumb injury's which finished his season, and the elbow which also sidelined him for the year. This man has not played 13 games of a season in 3 YEARS!!! in his mediocre, at best, 6 years in Carolina this clown has thrown 71 REGULAR SEASON INTs (which was sure to be more if he hadnt been hurt for 3 years) and countless fumbles!!! He only has 100 career regular season TD's and 47 of those are to Steve Smith who has to track his "ducks" and find a way to come down with them without killing himself.

Anyone who thinks being mediocre will get you a bust in Canton is crazy. When Fake Delhomme decides to retire in the next year or so, at least he will have a career in making chicken commercials because that's all it seems he's good at. One Super Bowl appearence doesnt make you great, and the loyalty the franchise is giving him is beyond belief...
