Who would you rather have? Moore or Palmer?

I'd rather just see what Moore brings to the table in the off and preseason.

That is I'd rather do that then entertain the notion of the guy who just lost to the Jets joining our team when there is about a -50% chance of it ever happening.

Moore. Do not bring in any FA quarterbacks as the ones who will be available are the ones who faltered and fell with their last team. As for the draft, bring in a QB to compete with Moore (but most likely Moore will win) and then keep the dude as a backup or future QB.

Palmer has not seemed the same to me since the knee injury.

I really like Moore, but I expect Jake to beat him out for at least one more year. I think Jake is going to have a strong season next year.

Never count someone that competitive out, even if he did throw 18 picks and had a horrid season.

Pretty random thread. These guys are not close to each other in terms of experience, or anything else. Moore has started a total of 8 games, Palmer is a 6 year vet who has started 81. Palmer is 30 and actually in the prime of his career while Moore is 25 years and just beginning his career. One is a number 1 pick, the other a UDFA. One is a 2 time probowler, the other hasn't completed one season.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
