I've been disappointed by Bryce's arm talent. I thought his arm was probably NFL average at best but it's looking below average, possibly well below average. Some guys can make below average work but it requires straight up surgical accuracy and timing and we haven't seen that from Bryce yet.

Do you think better route running and timing is possible with the current staff and personnel?

None of us is ever gonna end up calling plays in the NFL, but I really think most of us on this forum could come up with one or two different plays that would work in a game situation if called at right time in the game.

We did a better job today if scheming up receivers in the mid-range area than we have prior IMO. Bryce just isn't putting the ball in great locations when guys are NFL open. I really thought Bryce was the type of QB who would be throwing guys open with anticipation and elite ball placement. Right now he looks pretty average in those categories. If you're average in those categories you better have a cannon because you're gonna need it.

Collinsworth just said what we’ve been discussing. Purdy knows he doesn’t have the strongest arm but he says he plays to his strengths by reading the defense and finding the open man. He is putting on a clinic tonight with his ball placement. This is why the Bryce situation is so depressing. We were led to believe that Bryce would be way more efficient with his throws.

This is a copycat league. If I were on the Panthers coaching staff I’d be taking as many plays/passing concepts from the 49er playbook that I could and incorporate into our passing game.

I think Thomas needs to call plays!! IBryce and Thielen got chemistry!! Mingo had a few good catches!! Sanders is not good.. he had a wide open gap and chose to run up into his own guys!! I was like WTF.. I think Bryce will be ok!! It’s a lot of poor execution from what I see!! Reich needs to give up the play calling!! If not.. he needs to be fired and promote Evero or Thomas

The problem is they have one of our key guys now!! Panthers don’t have the talent right now!! When a 30 y/o is your best WR u got issues.. Mingo had flashes today!! We just need more talent!! Purdy also has a little more zip than Bryce

Should’ve just took Stroud.

No.  What we should have done is trade Burns last year for 2 first round picks and held our cards till 2024 when there was some real talent at quarterback coming up.  That is what should have been done but this is apparently a win now franchise now, that will never win.
