How Can You Not Pull For the Vikings?

How? The media gives him all this coverage, not like he has a say in it. Green Bay basically forced him into retirement, and when he didn't want to go people made it out like he's this monster drama queen. He's not out there on twitter, doing interviews, etc. He was celebrating a big playoff win with his team, give the guy a break.

man, nothing else to say but..

Green Bay didn't force him into retirement. If he wasn't a flip flopper, Rodgers woulda been traded or would still be on the bench. He said he was retiring, cried like a little bitch, then wanted to come back and be the starter after they gave the kid the keys to the car. He shoulda just come out and said "Look, I'm Brett Favre, and I don't feel like attending any offseason or preseason activities." and been done with it. Because that's essentially what he's been doing for a few years now. I used to love Brett Favres enthusiasm for football, but the last couple years really changed that guy in my eyes. He's a selfish little bitch and I can't wait for his inevitable collapse in either this next game or the Super Bowl.

I rarely drink the haterade, but I'll have seconds this time.

Green Bay basically forced him into retirement, Read previous post + did the Jets force him to retire?

He was celebrating a big playoff win with his team, give the guy a break. And he conveniently started singing when the cameras started rolling. He would not of done that if no cameras where in the locker room. He is not a team leader and has not been known for being a good teammate.

Dude, Green Bay front office wanted him out before they even drafted Rodgers. Why do you think they drafted him? They like young players, Favre was old and they forced him out. I agree with him being pretty selfish about the no training camp/2-a-days, but he's old, and knows the game enough to not need that, plus his body probably couldn't handle it the same way it could 10 years ago. Still should have gone though.

Jets didn't force him to retire. It was obvious he didn't want to be there, but Green Bay refused to just release him to play for the team he wanted(can't blame them here, he always wanted Vikes.) Jets wanted to go in a different direction.

Name me one player who doesn't put on a show for cameras when they're on him. Picture yourself in his situation, you just won a huge playoff game against a team everyone thought was Super Bowl bound. He should just shower, change clothes, and leave without saying a word, right? No.

so people want the Saints to win so all their fans will us the "oh yeah, but we won a Super Bowl" excuse on us until the end of time?

We'll never hear the end of it. So yea, f*ck that. Go Vikings, but eventually, I want the Colts or Jets to win it. I'll never root for a NFC South squad, they are the enemy.

When I was a newbie football fan(my mom made me sign up for Youth football to get my lazy ass out the house, so I watched my first game as research) back in 1998, I cheered for the Vikings. So, even when I got a clue and started rooting for the hometeam I always had a soft spot for them.

Also, what swordfish said. Fug that crap.

I'm cheering for the Vikings.

I will admit that I was rooting for The Succanneers against Oakland however long ago that was. Because my two favorite teams in football are Carolina and whoever is playing against the Raiders. Everyone I know is a Raider fan, and I hate the Raiders with a burning passion. Maybe it comes from being incarcerated with nothing but Raider (a few 49er) fans for two straight football seasons. fug the Raiders. :D

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
