is there any doubt that peyton manning is the goat now?

Everyone used to take credit away from Manning because they said the talent around him was too good. Well I think now we can all see he makes everyone around him that much better. I don't think I've ever seen a more accurate passer, and I've certainly never seen someone run an offense the way he can. Most QB's get flustered fast if you start hitting them (Brady) but despite that fact Peyton was still performing all game long.

Manning is the closest QB I have seen to Unitas. Unitas called his own plays, the offensive coordinator was only a title back then. Manning has the right to call a different play and very often does. Not many QB's have the ability or power given to them. His touch is very good and smart.

The back to back Sacks he basically went down. Nothing there so Eat the sack and play for later. NYJ came out on fire and they didn't rattle him. Soon he was tearing NYJ up.

Regardless of whether he wins it or not. He is GOAT....Well next to Unitas.

One very important stat. Most wins in a Decade. Granted two extra game a year doesn't hurt the count.

Payton Manning is one of the best if not the best Qbs of all time. I am just glad he has finally been able to do well in the playoffs, I remember when Brady and the Pats just tore up Manning every year and people questioned him for not winning the big games. Now what can the haters say about him? if he wins in two weeks he will have two rings and he still has atleast three years left in him. With todays Rules protecting the quarterback he could play another ten years like Farve.

I remember watching him play early in the season against the Titans and wow just watching the things he does before every play is amazing. I don't think any current quarterback can compare to him. Later on that night they talked how they dont really have an offensive cordinator that peyton pretty much does it all.

I actually think that Peyton Manning's greatness hurts Marvin Harrison's HOF credentials. I mean, who the fug is Pierre Garcon? Anthony Gonzalez? Austin Collie? If you are a WR with decent physical attributes and even the slightest desire to get better, you will put up perennial probowl numbers with Peyton Manning throwing to you.

I don't mean to marginalize Harrison or Garcon or any of these other guys talent, but with Manning it seems like he never misses when you're open, and can thread the needle when you're covered.

Last night he hit One of his WR's the second the 1st-string DB left the game. He's very cerebral. I give tons of credit to Jeff Saturday too, because I think he's been with Manning pretty much his whole career, and he has to know everything Manning is doing at the line. That's a tough gig.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
