Another Matt Moore Article (Panthers.com)

for anyone that would simply pass these off as fluff articles I'd argue that when an organization controls every aspect of the media and only releases what they want us to hear, you can read far more into every single thing that actually gets printed.

Bingo!

On the negative side for Carolina's quarterbacks was Jake Delhomme's touchdown-to-interception ratio; at minus-10 (eight-to-18), it was the worst in the league. The Panthers were 3-7 when their starting quarterback had a negative or even TD/INT ratio and 5-1 when it was positive, once again cementing the connection between turnovers and defeat.

Having got that out of the way, let's turn to an equally resonant number on the positive side.

Geez...can it be any more apparant that Carolina wants Moore IN, Delhomme OUT.

That could be the case, but I really doubt it is.

I would think that it is very likely that is the case.

Mason has pretty much never posted anything controversial. This is a way for the front office to gradually annoint Moore as the starter, without coming out and explicitly saying so.

Of course they haven't posted anything controversial, why would they? They cover the team officially and run the official online shop for the team. The organization isn't controlling anything, and the team website definitely isn't a propaganda machine judiciously choosing what gets run and what doesn't.

I'm sure the editor just keeps it real factual with as few opinions as possible. They probably believe that Moore should be/could be the starter so they are focusing many articles on him. I believe it has very little to do with the organization.

Exactly. There are too many Panthers fans acting like bitches because Matt Moore hasn't been officially named the starter yet. For crying out loud, there is nothing wrong with letting him go into TC with the idea that he still needs to earn the job.
