Goodell pissing off Super Bowl teams...

I saw something about this yesterday... it said they were gonna fly down to Miami Sunday, fly back Sunday night then fly back to Miami again with their teams Monday? What kind of stupid is that?

especially when they can just stay Sunday Night

I am sure they are big boys and can spend the night without their head coaches holding their hands and tucking them in. To have to fly all the way back is idiotic.

Lets not make a big deal about this. They have already had a week and will have another week in Miami to prepare. I think they should go. The fans voted for them and they should at least make an appearance. Most of them won't mind hanging out on the sidelines for 3 hours.

Management needs to get a grip.

As the ole saying goes, one bad apple will spoil the whole bunch.

The direction the NFL is headed in is labeled serious trouble if they don't get their greedy hands out of their own asses.

It's ridiculous, all of it. It's like politicians part II.

Get it straight, and fast, or I'm done with it all together. It has gotten sickening.

Problem solved

Mort: League, Colts resolve Pro Bowl issue

Posted by Mike Florio on January 27, 2010 5:05 PM ET

Well, there's won't be a boycott of the Pro Bowl by the AFC champs, after all.

Instead, the Colts and the league have worked out their differences.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the Colts will send their Pro Bowlers to Miami via charter jet (reimbursed by the league), and that the players will spend Sunday night in South Florida while they wait for the rest of the team to arrive on Monday. This will allow any injured players to get treatment and to avoid two unnecessary flights between Miami and Indianapolis.

It's unknown whether the Saints will employ a similar approach.

    • I don't think working from memory is going to be very productive or useful. You would need to compare them all, which is far easier to do from the breakdowns of each game. That has tiered charts that give real data.  But, even then that wouldn't substitute for a trained eye(s) doing detailed film analysis to attempt to determine if we are modifying the offense dramatically for Bryce.
    • I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.
