What if we trade our first round pick again?

Last year i called it, I felt since we were under pressure to win we would trade our first round pick. I gots lucky.

I feel like they're addicted to it. They've supposedly been on the "hot seat" for 3 years now. 2012 draft will be pretty deep if they'res a lockout. More insentive to trade now.

Hell even if they trade peppers I'd be they'd still do it.

So, if they do another draft day trade, you want them gone before they can get results? lol.

The players they got in the last two drafts have all had impacts.

I'm hoping they don't have the leeway to perform any mega-trades this draft, considering we don't know who our coach/GM will be after this season. That, and we're living on the credit card as far as draft picks at this point.

You can only justify so many "FINAL PIECE OF THE PUZZLE" choices when you're losing out on depth picks and not making any headway into the postseason regardless.

Them getting fired during the actual draft would be pretty entertaining, btw. Imagine the dramatic zoom in on the Panthers war room.

Im still troubled by the trade last year. I was a little stunned really. Trade a 1st rounder...for a somewhat early 2nd rounder? still doesn't make sense to me at all. And I also dont see whats so impressive about brown? Def not worth a 1st round pick, the guy played how many snaps this past year? might as well just have kept our 1st rounder this year. But just my opinion. (16/17 in the 1st round at that.)

If we trade a 1st...we need to get a 1st in return.

to do this a big time DT or WR would have to drop into a spot we could move up without trading our 2nd rounder.

if dan williams, brian price or golden tate fell into the 2nd, i would move next year 1st for 1, and hope to fill the other holes in the 2nd and 3rd.

i would love to get DT brian price with a traded pick, CB kyle wilson with our current 2nd, and WR dezmon briscoe in the 3rd. personally idk if wilson last that long, and there are 2-3 other CBs that i see being in the mix in the 2nd, but wilson is my favorite of them all. wilson is also a great returner, good athlete, and has a great motor. guy loves to get after it.

i could also see us jumping up to snag lafell too, but imo he is a boarder line 1st rounder in this draft or next draft. idk, but i dont like that idea as much (kinda did that with brown, but his stock could have gone up with another year in school idk).

    • My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us
    • Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
    • I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field  Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board.  After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
