Patriots will go without coordinators

Here's a way for Bill Belichick and Amos Alonzo Stagg to be mentioned in the same sentence.

In a move straight out of the leather-helmet era, the New England Patriots have revealed they won't have any coordinators for 2010. No offensive, no defensive, no special teams

the thing is, the Patriots aren't the same anymore. Rodney Harrison, imo, has been replaced. Meriweather is a very good SS. but they haven't replaced Seymour. Wilfork could be on his way out. Adalius Thomas sucks. Mayo is good. their Defense is weak. and Welker will miss a few games next season. Moss is still Moss, but he can be shutdown. the Patriots are beatable, and are no longer scary

I think its amazing that people can call your team "average" and "not the same as it used to be" the last 2 seasons when you have put up 10 plus wins in each. That just shows you how great of a organization that is.

u can win as many games as you want in the regular season, but if u don't when in the playoffs u failed. case and point-- the 2008 Carolina Panthers.

Thats not the point. 31 teams fail every season. Im saying its pretty amazing you can put up 10 plus wins in 2 seasons and thats considered average for your team.

    • All good solids points. I think after the RB and LB, is kicker the next spot among "Legacy" panther spot?? Kasay, gano, butkler, Eddie(best all-time %), Slye, Lloyd the touch back god, Mare, lols.....  Fitz...*right now* feels a combo of all the best panther ones. With the new rules, Fitz is either first or second in starting field position form KOs. He's a weapon and ten yards do matter.
    • "Plays well" vs "near historic performance" are pretty different things. It's important to keep in mind the Cowboys passing defense is league worst and their run defense is nearly so, for sure. But one of those two players vastly outperformed what most other players have done versus the Cowboys and the other had fewer yards than typical (but still played very well imo, and did all we needed him to). Rico pretty much doubled up virtually every other single back that has played the Cowboys.  So yeah I get why people would be surprised that Rico is so far down the list of O players.
    • Trevin and Rozeboom remind me (obviously at a smaller scale) of when they had Beason as the mic and Luke beside him. Luke looked very average and was out of position a lot until he swapped to mic. REALLY hoping this is another case of that. Just on eye test alone that swap has been a night and day difference.
