Tell me why we shouldn't trade for Justin Fields in the off-season?

Because you might not have to if the Bears move on from him.

Also, he's a great athlete but not a great quarterback.

I don't know if you're familiar with Hembo at ESPN (the stats guy), but he says that Fields has not been "good" the last few weeks, but "great." He and Greeny have said that, particularly within the context of all the dysfunction that he's dealing with, Fields has displayed enough that someone might consider trading for him. According to them, he has shown marked growth.

Anything is possible. I just think that he's our best option, of course that depends on our new coaching staff. But with Fields, we won't need to have the best o-line in the league. Unless another team just wants to trade for Bryce, I'd say we keep him.

Don't need the best Offensive line in the NFL hmmm he's proven he can't win with a poor offensive he is 11-32 as a starter, he's shown very little.

I'm liking this Jake Browning guy from Cincinnati.  He throws a solid accurate ball. He's earning himself a starting qb job for somebody next year. He shouldn't be that expensive either.

He has shown more in the games he has played than Bryce has but that same thing can be said for every qb that has played in the nfl this year.  I am for trading nothing for a qb .  See who we can sign to compete with Young for next year Minshew (better qbr than justin fields) Dalton and let the best qb play next season.

Pretty sure the Bears have been trying that.... lol and that isn't saying much like at all

He’s been fine. I wouldn’t say they have been building around him specifically. They need one more pass catcher and to fix a few holes on the line.

One more than we have and our line is definitely worse.... why not link the entire thing? Cute statistics because he missed more than half of that period...

What? I linked the part pertaining to Fields. Bryce wasn’t in the top 10. I didn’t make the report. Your username is literally about the guy currently trading out as a bottom 5 starter in the nfl

I'm telling you guys this dude just needs a change of scenery. He's beating legit playoff teams Detroit with a below average Oline. Fix this Oline and this dude is going to shine bright!

What would you trade for Justin Fields?

Because we’d be giving up even more capital and kicking the can down the road?

    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
    • I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
