I have no idea how any long time Panthers fan thinks this way. Yeah, let's poo on the guys who were drivers of our success while we're currently the worst franchise in the league. That logic adds up.

He did no more for this franchise than Jake Delhomme 3 playoff appearances one SB appearance....  3 decent seasons. 3 winning seasons out of 8 isn't "driving success"

Except Jake actually showed up to play in the Superbowl...

No chance unless/until Lamar gets over this allergy to performing in the playoffs.

Lamar now has weapons for once. He was that offense in the past. Now he finally has weapons. Even without Andrew they still look legit.

Ravens were my pick to win it all before the season. They also my 2nd home, most of my money is made in the Maryland area. Go Ravens!

Playoff performance doesn’t matter for MVP votes anyway. Someone was just wanting to hate on Lamar.

What if I told you that one can like Jake AND Cam. Especially us Panthers fans. Saying Cam did no more than Jake isn’t really an insult. Jake was great too.

Jake had his time but Cam was a much better player and more cerebral than him too which will ruffle some feathers.

Jake was successful because he had very underrated arm talent. He could force throws he should have never made but he got away with it more often than not because he had a HOF at WR and stud in Moose.

Cam on that 08 team is undefeated

    • I’ll see what Dan’s picks do this year but if it’s another lackluster class, we’re cooked, probably the biggest reason this team has suck for so long is the guys we’ve had at GM  bust and failed trades left and right
    • The more you look ahead Look ahead to the future son You realize the shrimp is gone And there’s plenty little fish beyond That boy fluttered like Bubba in Vietnam So run, run, run Forest, run Bryce Young sucks, just look beyond -Napoleon
    • Honestly, 2020 and 2021 were the years we sat on our asses like idiots. First being 2020.  Love may have been the one we missed out on with a trade down or a trade up from our 2nd pick.  And Hurts was a totally viable 2nd rounder to take a flier on after going DB. Love in particular was one of those top guys pre-college season, but he had a lot of TOs his last year and some iffy decision making pegged him back by scouts. If we hired a staff with a decent plan and vision (instead of Rhule and whatever he wanted to do) willing to groom him behind a vet, that may have been the money bet.  2021, it was Fields.  We could've tried him on for size, even if it didn't work, it would have put us in position to draft a QB in 2024. It all sucks.  We chased.
