This is Rod putting it on the skaters. I don’t think bad raanta is back. The skaters didn’t do what they needed to in front of Raanta this game.

I owe you an apology. It’s BY9Franchise whose never seen a goal that wasn’t Raanta’s fault lol

Kings are a good team and the bounces are with them this game, and some canes defensive lapses. I put Raanta at fault for the last goal, maybe 2 on that third one but I believe he was screened by a canes player.

No worries. I was skeptical of Raanta until he got his mojo back. I don’t put this game on Raanta at all. The first goal was on burns, the second was a fluke bounce, the third was on KK. I wasn’t really paying attention to the fourth. Either way was the right move by Rod. He didn’t leave Raanta out there to dry. But he also straight up called our skaters out with the move.

If the canes had played for Raanta like they are for Perets this game would be in the bag.

Perets made a good stop on a grade A there. Raanta made at least half a dozen grade A stops when he was in. Sometimes things go askew.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
