Well, looking at Ball's family should have given us a hint. He may end up being a good to great player, but trying to make him a leader on the team is a mistake. While he is young, he has not shown anything that would support him being a team leader.

This team needs a strong personality to keep the team in line, as none of them seem to care about anything but "getting theirs".  Terry did seem to care, but that was not enough. Too bad Gordon isn't that guy, with his crazy contract. At least he could provide leadership, we all know he'll miss more than half the games on the court.

Unfortunately you are right. LaMelo is a good young guy all things considered but he's immature which is not uncommon in the NBA. They need to figure it out though because we showed Borrego the door and immediately declined significantly and the knuckleheads that he tried to keep in line are now just having a good time no matter how bad we lose. Keeping Miles Bridges around was all the hint we needed that this franchise values character zilch. Bummer.

I have nothing personal against Gordon Hayward but from the standpoint of an extremely well paid athlete he is spoiled and entitled. When his wife called out the team last year or whenever it was that told me all I need to know. Frankly. Fug that guy.

Looked it up and since the 2004-2025 season (first season as the Bobcats) this franchise has had a winning record 4 times.  And those were barely above 500 for the most part.

They have been bad for a very long time now

Its pathetic and sad actually

At least jordan got out of the picture, worst owner in NBA history. It will take time and a special group to get the loser smell out of there.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
