Is there a stat for goal posts hit? The canes have to lead the league in that category. The canes are red red red hot. PP and PK re top 5.

Since dec 1st - 1 in PK(only team over 90%)

The number two in both since dec 1st is Edmonton.

Looks more like a shove instead of an impact hit with extension of the arms. But that shot by Orlov is as good as you'll ever see that deep in the zone. Especially since it went far corner in front of the goalie's face. Slavo's shot in Game 2 of the Islanders series that tied the game went off the goalie's helmet ricocheted between the helmet and post.

Remember the Stastny shot in OT of the Islanders Game 6 series winner?

And the officiating was absolute garbage last night. Staal went down a couple times with holding and interference non-calls; Aho was as close to a break away when he got hooked and no call. The embellishment call on Bunting may be one of the worst I've ever seen.

And, if I'm being very objective, the Canes played a pretty clean game, considering Lemieux had several opportunities to drop the gloves and didn't. Arizona was frustrated they could barely penetrate the O-zone and they started hitting guys behind the plays and after the puck was gone. The Canes should have had about 8 power plays last night.

      I noticed Canales commented on King having a live arm. Weinke coached him and said he could make any throw an NFL team would ask him to make.  His mechanics and general process of throwing looks a little wonky to me though. Haven’t really zoomed in on that though to say more.     Brazzell, his hands look at least decent to me and of course his speed is there.   Love his balance.  Like a cat, always comes down on his feet. Not his butt.

      If Veabel is the father the name, unfortunately…. well you are looking at Mike Jr.    I feel bad for the husband And the kid though. Especially the kid who had no hand in anything and is just a victim.   Most people would develop some pretty big issues around the chaos of finding out nothing you were told about your father was true and you have been calling the wrong guy Dad.  And trusting your mother, well that is over too.     She should be permanently burned as a reporter or rumor reporter. Whatever she I was.    Who can trust anything she says?   Vrabel has outed himself as a total phony. No credibility whatsoever.

      My worry is about his concussion. Concussions.  Last thing we need is for him to  be like Jewel. I am looking forward to him benefiting from better players around him in the defense.  Defending QBs under a little more pressure than the last few years.  Better coverage defense in front of him in the middle.
