Draft Tez Walker!!

Draft the homegrown AJ Brown to add an immediate vertical threat for Bryce, keep Adam Thielen for short and intermediate stuff. Upgrade the running game and we might not be a dumpster next year. If nothing else drafting Tez would be a morale booster for the  fanbase. People will hype it up and there would be talks of “maybe we have our franchise QB and WR” from the draft until at very least mid August. The Tez offensive.

So add a vertical threat for a QB who has one of the weakest arms in the NFL. Y'all playing Madden and trying to make it real life.

They already said they are looking to get the ball out of Bryce hands quick which means we will be looking for quick smaller WRs. We need a Zay Flowers. Someone who can catch a screen or slant and take it 80 yards for the TD.

That really isn't even about arm strength, you need to be able to scheme up getting the ball to explosive playmakers in space and let them make plays. Those are high percentage plays.

I like Dez and he got a raw deal with being held out for so long at UNC but, route running has to be a top priority for any WR we draft.  If he's there later in the draft than we should take a shot but no with our 2nd or 3rd.

He's a 3rd or 4th rounder. He really struggled against teams that got physical with him. He needs to add quite a bit of strength at the NFL level.

Agreed. He matches the profile of a player that just is not going to be able to provide quick help in an offense that desperately needs it. He's a project

Yes we need shifty route runners. I’m to the point where we may Aswell run two slot WRs and run a bunch of motion. Hope they can get leverage and make a play. Which I hope Canales and his scheme work for. We can win throwing 5-15yd passes if once awhile someone with some wiggle breaks one.

Agreed. We have to play to the strength of Bryce. Getting the ball out quickly is his best chance at success until we improve the Oline.

A lot of truth to this. Tez's biggest strength is going deep. Bryce's biggest weakness is throwing deep. It's not a good match. We already saw this with play out with DJ Chark. Chark honestly wouldn't be a bad NFL comp for Tez Walker.

Vertical threats don’t really matter with arm strength. Tua and Burrow have weaker arms but Hill and Chase can track down deep balls they air out.

I mean, struggling with physical play can't exactly be seen as shocking for a guy listed at 6'3" 175 but that's also a big part of why he's a project. He probably needs to add 20-25 pounds at the NFL level and you have to wonder how that will effect his speed and quickness. He has the build of a basketball player.

They don't have great arms but they don't have Bryce's arm limitation either. Honestly, the only way Bryce can generate velocity or depth in his throws is when he has a virtual airport runway to step up into and through the throw. That just doesn't happen a lot against NFL pass rushes. Pockets are usually muddy and Bryce's natural arm talent struggles to operate in that environment. He CAN throw with velocity and he CAN throw deep but everything has to go perfectly and that just doesn't happen with regularity at the NFL level. These were all concerns I voiced pre-draft to widespread mockery on the Huddle.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
